The verdict

The HEALiX is a far-infrared blanket for $499.99 on sale, with a published 600 W draw and a 77 to 176°F range. You get 45 days to return it. The catch is thin safety paperwork: no manual, no list of safety warnings and no ETL or UL listing, and the warranty excludes the soft surfaces its own page suggests.

The trade-off

No manual, list of safety warnings or ETL or UL listing is published, and the warranty excludes soft or insulated surfaces.

  • Folded size and the heaviest user it fits
  • What Return Protection costs
  • How long the sale price will last

Before you buy

InstallationNone

None. You unfold it, plug it into a 120 V outlet and switch it on. The product page suggests laying it on a bed, couch or yoga mat. HEALiX's warranty, though, excludes damage from use on soft, uneven or insulated surfaces and from extension devices. No manual is posted, so the surfaces HEALiX approves aren't stated.

WarrantyTwo years from purchase on defects in materials and workmanship…

Two years from purchase on defects in materials and workmanship, for the original buyer only, if you bought from HEALiX or an authorized seller. Commercial use, such as in a spa, gym or rental, gets 12 months. Coverage depends on following HEALiX's manuals, temperature limits, session lengths, surface requirements and power specifications. It excludes use on soft, uneven or insulated surfaces, exposure to moisture or liquids, extension devices, normal wear and cosmetic damage. You claim by email with proof of purchase and photos or video, and you have 21 days to answer HEALiX's diagnostic questions. HEALiX chooses whether to repair it, replace it with a new or refurbished unit, or send an equivalent model. A replacement keeps the original warranty's end date. The policy says you may have to pay shipping where the law allows.

Returns45 days from delivery, in like-new condition, with return shipping on you

45 days from delivery, in like-new condition, with return shipping on you. HEALiX pays it only if the blanket arrives damaged, defective or incorrect. It can supply a prepaid label at its carrier rates and take the cost out of the refund. The product page also sells optional Return Protection that covers return shipping, with no price shown. You start in HEALiX's returns portal, and the return must be approved before you send it. A blanket that comes back worn, stained, smelly, with hair on it or missing parts can get a reduced refund, extra charges or no full refund. Outlet blankets get 30 days. Refunds take 2 to 5 business days after inspection.

PLAN YOUR OWNERSHIP COSTS

What will it cost to own?

Change the assumptions to fit your use. Leave an unknown cost blank. Add water, subscriptions, cleaning, shipping and taxes if they apply. Use average operating power, not the maximum rating.

$499.99

Incomplete: energy use. This is not the full ownership cost.

Energy component: Unknown

Purchase + installation + years × (annual consumables + annual other) + watts/1000 × hours/day × 365 × years × $/kWh. Annualized allowances, not an exact replacement schedule. Excludes taxes, shipping, finance and resale unless entered.
Replacement parts & cost assumptions

Recorded recurring parts and refills:

  • HEALiX Comfort sauna blanket insert (optional): $74.99. 35% organic cotton and 65% bamboo, machine-washable. HEALiX says it removes the need for clothing in the blanket. Without it, HEALiX suggests light, moisture-wicking clothes. It can be returned only unopened and unused, within 15 days. No replacement interval is given.
  • Purchase is the $499.99 sale price on Oct 20, 2026, against a $599.99 regular price. Shipping is free within the lower 48 states.
  • Installation is $0. It plugs into a 120 V outlet with nothing to assemble.
  • Annual consumables are $0 because nothing has to be replaced on a schedule. The $74.99 Comfort insert is optional.
  • No subscription is involved, so other yearly costs are $0.
  • Watts is the 600 W rating from the product page, not a measured average. HEALiX says only "a few times a week or even daily" and 20 to 60 minutes a session, so energy isn't estimated.
  • Repairs after the 2-year warranty aren't priced.

Evidence & sources.

Are saunas good for you? Our evidence review grades the research as Moderate. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimPrice, size, weight, power, temperature range and the Velcro and zipper versions come from HEALiX's product pages, store listing and store product list138 From HEALiX's own pages. None of these figures was measured independently, and HEALiX posts no manual. The store product list also shows outlet versions of both blankets at $349.99.
  • Manufacturer claimHEALiX says its materials are non-toxic and VOC-free, and that the blanket is RoHS, REACH and FCC certified17 No lab, certificate, standard or report is given. No certifier directory was searched, so a listing could exist that HEALiX doesn't name. If a US safety listing matters to you, ask HEALiX before you buy.
  • Manufacturer claimHEALiX markets the blanket as "ZERO EMF"17 No EMF figure, measuring distance, lab or report is given. In the product page's Q&A, HEALiX said the only place a meter registers EMFs is where the electric enters the blanket. No independent EMF measurement of this blanket was reviewed.
  • Manufacturer claimHEALiX's product page says the blanket relieves chronic pain, inflammation and muscle soreness, burns up to 600 calories per session and strengthens the immune system1 The page cites no study for these claims. Its percentages of customers reporting better sleep or less pain come with no survey size or method. No published trial of this blanket was reviewed.
  • Manufacturer claimHEALiX's site has no manual and no list of contraindications or safety warnings. In its product Q&A, it told a customer with a pacemaker to consult a specialist first, and its FAQ advises against taking a phone into the blanket1 The warranty refers to user manuals and safety instructions supplied with the blanket, so they may come in the box. If you're pregnant or have a medical condition, ask a doctor before using any sauna blanket.
