The verdict

Amplify III is a three-person eucalyptus cabin with seven far-infrared and three full-spectrum heaters, on sale for $6,999. It runs on 120 V but needs its own 20 A circuit. The catch: you can't return it once it's opened, and the product page doesn't give its wattage, so running costs are unknown.

The trade-off

Opened saunas can't be returned, and the product page skips wattage, top temperature and a safety listing number.

About this price

Sale price on Sunlighten's online store on Oct 13, 2026, against a regular price of $8,099. The product page showed $6,799 for a "Fall Reset Event" ending October 14, 2026, with the discount applied at checkout. That extra $200 isn't counted here. The store listed the 3-person Eucalyptus Black Edition as available. The page said "Ready to Ship" and "Arrives in 12-14 days", with free freight shipping in the contiguous US. The price is before tax. Affirm, Klarna and Truemed (HSA/FSA) are ways to pay, not discounts.

A GOOD FIT FOR

Two or three people who share sessions, with a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit and about 63 × 46 in of indoor floor.

  • Two or three people who want to sit side by side on a 56.7 in bench
  • A dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit where the cabin will go, or plans to add one
  • A room with a standard 8 ft ceiling and about 63 × 46 in of floor, reached through a 30 in doorway
  • You want a listed price and delivery in about two weeks, not a sales quote

THINK TWICE IF

  • You'll mostly use it alone, since the 2-person size costs $1,000 less
  • A home where you can't add a dedicated 20 A circuit
  • An address without a flat, paved path to the garage door, since the carrier won't carry the pallet up steps
  • You might want to return it after opening the boxes
  • A spot within 5 ft of a shower, tub or cold plunge, which voids the warranty
What still needs checking
  • The cabin's rated wattage and amperage, and so its running cost
  • The maximum cabin temperature
  • Which outlet type it needs and whether GFCI protection is required
  • How much clearance to leave around the cabin
  • Whether the warranty's no-labor line covers cabin saunas or only the red light panel
  • What the owner's manual and power box installation guide require, since those PDFs couldn't be opened
  • Whether an ETL listing covers this exact model, and its file number
  • What the linked EMF test measured, on which models and at what distance
  • Carton weights, since two to three boxes of 130 lb each don't add up to 642 lb
  • Whether the $6,999 sale price outlasts the October 14 event

Before you buy

InstallationIt needs a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit and outlet

It needs a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit and outlet. Sunlighten's FAQ says a power strip or converter voids the warranty. The warranty page also rules out extension cords and shared circuits. It asks for at least 5 ft between the sauna and a cold plunge, shower or bathtub. The product page suggests booking an electrician so the outlet is ready on build day. It doesn't list the wattage, amperage or outlet type. Freight delivery needs a flat, paved surface up to your garage door. The carrier leaves the sauna there on a pallet and can't carry it up steps. It comes in two to three mattress-sized boxes of 130 lb each. The Magne-Seal panels lock together without screws or nails. Sunlighten says two people take about 2 to 3 hours.

WarrantySunlighten's warranty page groups Amplify with its other cabin saunas

Sunlighten's warranty page groups Amplify with its other cabin saunas. For home use, the cabinet and heaters get 7 years, the controls 3 years, and the glass door and audio 1 year. Commercial use gets 5 years on the cabinet and heaters and 1 year on everything else. You pay the freight on parts shipped for service. A general disclaimer says coverage is for replacement parts only, not labor or technician costs. It sits right after the red light panel's terms, so it's unclear whether it applies to cabins. The warranty covers only the original buyer and ends if you sell the sauna. It's void on a power strip, extension cord, converter or shared circuit, or within 5 ft of water. Sunlighten says its saunas aren't designed to be placed outdoors. If you put one outside anyway, its cover (sold separately) has to stay on at all times, even during sessions. The sauna must also be bought and put into use within a year of its manufacture date. The page shows no version or effective date.

ReturnsNon-custom saunas like Amplify can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery…

Non-custom saunas like Amplify can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, but only in the original, unopened packaging. Opened saunas can't be returned or exchanged. Charges can include a 3% administrative fee, a $499 restocking fee, storage fees and return shipping to the warehouse. Cancelling before it ships can cost the 3% fee, plus storage fees if the sauna has to be re-routed. Sunlighten reserves the right to refuse a return, exchange or cancellation. It refunds to your original payment method after it inspects and restocks the sauna.

Strengths on paper

  • Ten heaters: seven SoloCarbon far-infrared and three halogen full-spectrum
  • Seats three on 120 V household power, not 240 V
  • Price and stock are on the page, with free freight in the contiguous US and arrival in 12 to 14 days
  • Magne-Seal panels lock together without screws or nails, in about 2 to 3 hours with two people
  • Inside, bench and door sizes are all published
  • Sunlighten says it fits under an 8 ft ceiling and its panels fit through a 30 in door
  • Sunlighten links third-party EMF and air-quality test reports from its safety page

  • Opened saunas can't be returned
  • Unopened returns can cost a $499 restocking fee, a 3% administrative fee, storage fees and return shipping
  • Freight is left on a pallet at the garage door, and the carrier won't carry it up steps
  • You pay freight on replacement parts, and labor may not be covered
  • Only the cabinet and heaters get 7 years: controls get 3, and the glass door and audio 1

PLAN YOUR OWNERSHIP COSTS

What will it cost to own?

Change the assumptions to fit your use. Leave an unknown cost blank. Add water, subscriptions, cleaning, shipping and taxes if they apply. Use average operating power, not the maximum rating.

3-year known subtotal

$6,999.00

Incomplete: installation, energy use. This is not the full ownership cost.

Energy component: Unknown

Purchase + installation + years × (annual consumables + annual other) + watts/1000 × hours/day × 365 × years × $/kWh. Annualized allowances, not an exact replacement schedule. Excludes taxes, shipping, finance and resale unless entered.
Replacement parts & cost assumptions

No scheduled consumable is listed. That does not mean zero maintenance or repair costs.

  • Purchase is the $6,999 sale price on Sunlighten's online store on Oct 13, 2026. At the $8,099 regular price, it would be $1,100 more. Freight shipping was advertised as free in the contiguous US.
  • Installation cost is unknown. You assemble it yourself, two people for about 2 to 3 hours. If there's no dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit where it will go, you'll need an electrician to add one. Sunlighten doesn't price that work.
  • No filter, lamp or other recurring part is listed, so annual consumables are $0. Electricity, cleaning and repairs still cost money, and the warranty may not cover labor.
  • The product page doesn't give the cabin's wattage, so energy cost is unknown. Sunlighten suggests preheating for 45 to 60 minutes, which adds to the running time of every session.
  • No subscription or app fee is mentioned, so other yearly costs are $0.

Evidence & sources.

Are saunas good for you? Our evidence review grades the research as Moderate. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimHeater count, electrical needs, measurements, weight, delivery and assembly details come from Sunlighten's product page.16 These figures come from the maker and weren't measured independently. Sunlighten's support page lists an Amplify III spec sheet, owner's manuals, a US assembly guide and a power box installation guide. Those PDFs couldn't be opened on Oct 13, 2026, so their electrical and installation details weren't checked.
  • Manufacturer claimSunlighten says its heater panels measure 0.5 mG, less than 1 mG, and links an EMF test report by Vitatech Electromagnetics.15 The safety page gives no ELF figure, measuring distance, test date or model list. The linked Vitatech PDF couldn't be opened on Oct 13, 2026, so it's unclear whether Amplify III was tested.
  • Manufacturer claimSunlighten says its saunas are ETL-certified and points to the Intertek Directory to check.15 Neither page gives a listing number or says which models are covered. The Intertek Directory search couldn't be loaded on Oct 13, 2026, so no listing was confirmed. Ask Sunlighten for the file number before you buy.
  • Manufacturer claimSunlighten links an indoor air-quality report by APEX Environmental Consultants. It says the report found only trace levels of VOCs during a session.5 That summary is Sunlighten's. The APEX PDF couldn't be opened on Oct 13, 2026, so the models, dates and figures weren't checked.
  • Manufacturer claimSunlighten markets it as supporting detoxification, cardiovascular conditioning and muscle recovery.16 These are the seller's marketing claims, not measurements of this cabin. This review didn't assess the studies behind them. Sunlighten's support page calls its products general wellness products, not medical devices.
  • Manufacturer claimSunlighten suggests beginners start with 10 to 15 minute sessions at 100°F every other day, with water before and after.15 That's a usage suggestion, not evidence of a benefit. The safety page says to check with your health professional before using its saunas.
