Luminar 2 is a two-person full-spectrum infrared cabin built for year-round outdoor use, on sale for $10,999. It's for two adults without indoor space who can run a new 240 V, 20 A circuit to a level pad. The catch is that Sun Home doesn't price that site work, and warranty labor and shipping end after 90 days.
You pay for the electrician and the pad on top of the price, warranty labor and shipping end after 90 days, and you can't return it once it's unpacked.

| Session guidance | Control range 90 to 170°F. The manual gives typical sessions of 20 to 45 min, with a 45 min maximum. After 2 hours of continuous use, it says to shut the sauna down for at least an hour |
| Outdoor rating | Rated for year-round outdoor use. It runs below 25°F but takes longer to warm up in the cold. The roof isn't built to carry more than a foot of snow |

It needs a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit with GFCI protection. It also needs a weatherproof NEMA L6-20R twist-lock receptacle within 6 ft of the cord exit. Sun Home says a licensed electrician is required. The manual says not to plug it into a standard 120 V household outlet or share the outlet with other appliances. The 8 ft cord exits the roof at the back wall. The pad must be flat, level and draining, extend at least 6 in beyond the footprint and support at least 1,500 lb. Leave 4 to 6 in behind and beside the cabin, 20 to 24 in above the roof, and room for the door to swing fully open. The product page says to install it at least 5 ft from other electrical devices. Placing it within 5 ft of a water source that produces liquid or vapor voids the warranty. The owner's manual offers a free roof security cable kit, requested by email, to anchor the sauna. It doesn't say at what wind speed the kit is needed. The sauna arrives palletized at the curb in one crate. Sun Home says to set aside half a day and two or more people for assembly.
These terms cover residential purchases in the US on or after March 2, 2026. Cabinetry (benches, floor grates and heater cover frames) and heaters get a limited lifetime warranty. That coverage applies for up to seven years, which the terms give as their expected useful life. The exterior cabin and the controls (control panel and power box) get 3 years each. LED lighting, glass doors and audio get 1 year. For the first 90 days after delivery, warranty service includes replacement parts, labor and shipping. After that, you pay shipping and labor. Only the original purchaser is covered. Weather events, normal weathering, cosmetic damage and water exposure are excluded. Lacking a dedicated outlet, or placing the sauna within 5 ft of a water source, voids the warranty. The included cover is optional, and not using it doesn't by itself void the warranty. Commercial use carries shorter terms.
You can return an unused sauna in its original, unopened packaging within 30 days of delivery. Sun Home deducts a 25% restocking fee plus outbound and inbound shipping, even on free-shipping orders. It doesn't accept uncrated, assembled or used saunas. Every cancellation carries a 3% fee. You can cancel an in-stock order within 24 hours. After that, a 25% restocking fee and possibly roundtrip shipping apply. Refunds are issued within 21 days of Sun Home receiving the return. Inspect the shipment before the delivery driver leaves.
Sun Home Luminar 2 is a two-person full-spectrum infrared sauna for year-round outdoor use, with a Canadian red cedar interior and aluminum cladding. Sun Home says its nine heaters reach up to 170°F. It was on sale for $10,999 (regular $11,599), but that doesn't cover the site work. You need a licensed electrician to run a dedicated 240 V, 20 A GFCI circuit, plus a level, draining pad rated for at least 1,500 lb. The "limited lifetime" heater coverage is capped at seven years, and warranty labor and shipping end after 90 days. You can't return it once it's unpacked.
