Choose ifOne person with a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit and about 38 × 40 in of floor plus 4 in or more around it.One adult, or two smaller adults, with a dedicated 15 A circuit and about 39 × 38 in of floor space who want a low price.A solo user with about 42.5 × 48.25 in of floor space who wants full-spectrum heaters running off a standard 120V, 15A outlet.
Main trade-offYou can't return it once the boxes are opened, and the warranty doesn't pay for labor. The interior is narrow for two, no EMF report or safety listing is published, and a return costs 20% plus freight. The price is quote-only, and the 14.6 A draw leaves little headroom on a 15 A circuit.

Sunlighten's spec sheet recommends 4 in between the sauna and the walls and 12 in above it. The manual's FAQ asks for 8 to 12 in around the back and sides and at least 8 in behind so the electronics can cool, so leave the larger gap. The cabin fits under a standard 8 ft ceiling, and its panels fit through a standard 30 in doorway.Outside: 39 W × 36 D × 73 H in, and the roof overhang adds 2 in to the depth. The manual's diagram shows 38.3 in wide and 71.9 in tall. Inside: 36 W × 32 D × 67 H in. Dynamic doesn't publish the bench size or seat height, the door size or the cord length. InstallationIt needs a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit with a NEMA 5-20R outlet (5-20P plug). Plug it straight into the wall, not a power strip, extension cord or converter. Sunlighten's manual says a certified electrician should install the dedicated outlet, and that failing to do so voids the warranty. It also says to put a GFCI or dual-function breaker on the circuit, so check your local code. Freight goes to a garage or flat, paved driveway, where the carrier leaves a pallet and can't carry it up steps. It comes in two to three mattress-sized boxes of 130 lb each, and at least two people must carry in the panels. The Magne-Seal panels lock together without screws or nails, and Sunlighten says two people take about 2 to 3 hours. It plugs into a 120 V, 15 A outlet. The manual's cover says a 120 VAC, 15 A dedicated circuit is required, and it says no other appliance should run on the same breaker while the sauna is on. It bans adapters, surge protectors and extension cords between the sauna cord and the outlet. The manual gives no GFCI guidance. The cabin is for indoor use only, on a dry, level spot away from water, and placing it outdoors voids the warranty. Dynamic ships by freight carrier to the curb or the end of the driveway. The box is strapped to a pallet, and the driver isn't obligated to move it closer to the house. You need two or more people to unstrap and remove the box, and the carrier phones 24 to 48 hours ahead to set a window of about four hours. Dynamic can cancel delivery to islands or remote areas and may add a fee. The panels clasp together with buckles, and the manual says two adults are needed to assemble it. Dynamic gives no assembly time, no delivery lead time and no installation price. It plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A household outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. The product page doesn't say it needs a dedicated circuit. Shipping is advertised as free. The sauna arrives by freight with lift-gate service at a scheduled delivery appointment, and someone 18 or older must sign for it. Clearlight says two people usually assemble it in about 1 to 1.5 hours with a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench. Its FAQ says 1 to 3 hours. Clearlight offers installation service in some areas but doesn't state a price.
MaterialsEucalyptus, which Sunlighten says is sustainably sourced, with natural variation in tone and grain. Basswood was marked not available. Obsidian is offered on the same page at no extra cost. It comes with a CELLIANT heater cover. Sunlighten says the glue is non-toxic, citing third-party testing by Franklin International.Natural hemlock wood, with a tempered glass door. Dynamic's About page describes its line as all Canadian hemlock fir construction. Dynamic doesn't state the wood grade, finish, adhesives or any emissions test. The manual says surface cracks from kiln-dried wood expanding and contracting aren't defects.Mahogany or basswood. Clearlight calls it furniture-grade natural wood and notes that grain and color vary from cabin to cabin.
WarrantySunlighten's warranty covers replacement parts only, not labor or technician costs, and you pay all freight, including on parts shipped for service. For home use, the cabinet and heaters get 7 years. The cabinet includes the bench, floor grates and heater cover frames. Controls get 3 years, and the glass door and audio get 1 year. Commercial use gets 5 years on the cabinet and heaters and 1 year on everything else. Coverage is for the original buyer only and ends if you sell the sauna. The sauna must be bought and put into use within a year of its manufacture date. It's void on a power strip, extension cord, converter or non-dedicated circuit, within 5 ft of a shower, tub or cold plunge, or after unauthorized repairs. Sunlighten says its saunas aren't designed for outdoor use, and outdoors the separately sold cover has to stay on at all times.Five years on heating elements and electronics for residential use, with 1 year on the wood structure and glass, per the owner's manual. The manual's warranty page is headed "Limited Lifetime Warranty" and then describes a 5 Year Limited Warranty on wood, structure, heating elements and electronics for "1 to 5 years" from purchase. A footnote sets 5 years for residential use and 1 year for commercial use on the elements and electronics. The warranty covers parts, not labor. You prepay shipping on any part you send back and insure it, and you need proof of purchase. Coverage is for the original purchaser at the original site and ends on transfer or relocation. It's void outdoors, after modification, after repairs by anyone Golden Designs hasn't authorized, and with a worn-out receptacle. The manual asks you to register within 60 days of purchase. Dynamic's counterfeit warning says products bought outside its authorized channels aren't warranted or supported.Clearlight says its residential Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the entire sauna for as long as you own it. That includes the heaters, control panels, electrical components, wood cabin, audio and chromotherapy lighting. Parts and shipping are covered for life, but labor isn't. The warranty page says labor is covered for an initial period without giving its length. The owner's manual, which lists Sanctuary 1, sets labor at 7 years for indoor home use in the US and Canada, counted from the purchase date. The manual says the warranty can't be transferred without written consent from Sauna Works, which issues it. Commercial use carries a 5-year warranty. The warranty page says registration is automatic when the sauna ships, while the manual asks you to register within 30 days of purchase.
ReturnsYou have 30 days from delivery to start a return, but only while the sauna is unopened in its original packaging. Opened saunas can't be returned. Charges can include a 3% administrative fee, a $499 restocking fee for Signature saunas, storage fees and return shipping. You can cancel before it ships, but the same fees can apply. You start a return by emailing your sales rep or customer care for an authorization, and Sunlighten schedules the pickup. It refunds to your original payment method after it inspects and restocks the sauna, and it reserves the right to refuse a return, exchange or cancellation.Orders can be canceled within 24 hours of purchase, and returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery. You need a return authorization number first, and the sauna must be new, unused and in its original packaging. Each cancellation or return carries a 20% handling and restocking fee per sauna, storage and routing costs, and all shipping to and from Dynamic. Without an authorization number Dynamic won't accept the shipment. Refunds follow within 5 business days after the sauna reaches the warehouse and passes inspection. Dynamic can refuse a refund if it finds damage or you break the policy. You carry the risk of loss on the return.Clearlight calls it a "30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy," but a return isn't free. You have 30 business days from receipt and need a return authorization (RMA). The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, with undamaged original packaging and all manuals. Clearlight deducts a 25% restocking charge and the original shipping charges. If the sauna shipped under a free or discounted shipping promotion, that means the actual freight cost. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. Orders canceled before shipment are fully refunded. Concealed damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.
