Choose ifA solo user with about 42.5 × 48.25 in of floor space who wants full-spectrum heaters running off a standard 120V, 15A outlet. One person with a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit who wants red light and several infrared wavelengths in one cabin.
Main trade-offThe price is quote-only, and the 14.6 A draw leaves little headroom on a 15 A circuit.Sunlighten publishes no price, and you can't return the cabin once the boxes are opened.
Key specifications
  • Heaters: Two 500 W True Wave full-spectrum heaters on the front wall. True Wave far-infrared heaters cover the back and side walls, the calves and the floor. Clearlight doesn't state their count or wattage
  • Electrical: 120 V, 1,740 W, 14.6 A. Plugs into a 120 V, 15 A outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug
  • Capacity: Built for 1 adult
  • Weight: 425 lb
  • Operating temperature: Clearlight's FAQ says cabins typically reach 115 to 125°F even when set to 150°F. Another FAQ answer says 115 to 130°F. Neither figure is specific to this cabin
  • Controls and extras: Digital keypad (temperature, time, lights, heater intensity, reservation mode), smartphone control, Bluetooth/AUX audio and charging station, 12-color chromotherapy. Red light therapy upgrade available
  • EMF: Clearlight markets the heaters as low EMF and ELF and says they cancel both. Its FAQ says True Wave heaters measure less than 1 mG (printed as "1mg") directly on the heater. It names no test standard or lab for that figure
  • Heaters: 5 far-infrared, 4 mid-infrared and 3 near-infrared and red LED panels. Sunlighten says its PulseIQ platform controls the four wavelengths separately. Per-heater wattage isn't stated
  • Red and near-infrared light: Sunlighten says the LED panels peak at 650 nm (red) and 880 nm (near-infrared) and deliver 1 to 3 mW/cm² to the skin. It says that's lower than dedicated LED devices. No independent measurement is given
  • Electrical: 120 V, 18 A, 2,160 W per the assembly guide. Dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit with a NEMA 5-20 outlet. 10 ft cord. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz)
  • Inside and seating: 37.8 W × 35.6 D × 71.5 H in. One bench, 37.8 W × 21.7 D in and 20.2 in off the floor, for one person
  • Outside and weight: 43.6 W × 41.6 D × 79 H in with feet. 463 lb in eucalyptus, 432 lb in basswood. Leave 4 in to the walls and 6 in above
  • Heat: Sunlighten says it warms about 1°F a minute and suggests 45 to 60 minutes of preheat. Its wellness programs aim for 120 to 130°F, and you can preheat to 130 to 140°F by hand. No top temperature is stated
  • Controls: Built-in tablet and Sunlighten app to start, preheat (up to 60 minutes), schedule and adjust sessions. Six preset programs plus a custom one. Screen size isn't stated
  • Delivery and assembly: Freight to a garage or flat, paved driveway, left on a pallet. Two cartons, 46 × 7 × 48 in and 47 × 17 × 76 in. Two people assemble it, about 1 to 2 hours per Sunlighten's FAQ
  • Safety listing: Sunlighten says its saunas are ETL-certified. The spec sheet shows an ETL mark (US and Canada) beside RoHS, CE and TÜV logos, with no file number
  • Running cost: Sunlighten's owner's manual estimates $0.20 to $0.50 an hour. The 2,160 W figure is the electrical rating, and Sunlighten gives no average power draw
  • Extras: Chromotherapy lights with a remote, ceiling speakers, CELLIANT heater covers and a ceiling vent
  • Cleaning: Wipe the bench and floor after each use, wipe all wood weekly with Sunlighten's natural cleaner and wipe heater surfaces monthly. Clear dust from the power box heat sinks twice a year

If you build it into an enclosed space, Clearlight recommends leaving 4 in around the sauna.Outside: 43.6 W × 41.6 D × 79 H in, including 2 in feet. Inside: 37.8 W × 35.6 D × 71.5 H in. The bench is 37.8 in wide and 21.7 in deep, 20.2 in off the floor. It weighs 463 lb in eucalyptus and 432 lb in basswood. Sunlighten recommends 4 in to the walls and 6 in above the cabin. Sunlighten gives no minimum doorway width and asks you to measure doorways and hallways before you buy.
InstallationIt plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A household outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. The product page doesn't say it needs a dedicated circuit. Shipping is advertised as free. The sauna arrives by freight with lift-gate service at a scheduled delivery appointment, and someone 18 or older must sign for it. Clearlight says two people usually assemble it in about 1 to 1.5 hours with a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench. Its FAQ says 1 to 3 hours. Clearlight offers installation service in some areas but doesn't state a price. It needs a dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit and outlet with a NEMA 5-20 plug. Sunlighten's assembly guide rates it at 120 V, 18 A and 2,160 W. The 10 ft cord exits at the back left of the floor and must plug straight into the wall. The assembly guide says to add a GFCI or dual-function breaker only if your local code requires one. The spec sheet says dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz) is required, while the product page says recommended. Freight goes to a garage or a flat, paved driveway, where the carrier leaves it on a pallet and can't carry it up steps. You need two people to unpack and assemble it, which Sunlighten's FAQ puts at 1 to 2 hours, and professional installation isn't required.
MaterialsMahogany or basswood. Clearlight calls it furniture-grade natural wood and notes that grain and color vary from cabin to cabin.Sunlighten says each sauna is built from sustainably sourced eucalyptus with natural variation in tone and grain. Its spec sheet also lists basswood. It lists kiln-dried wood, thick insulation, a glass front door and side glass, and CELLIANT fabric covers over the heaters on the interior walls. Its safety page calls the glue non-toxic, citing testing by Franklin International.
WarrantyClearlight says its residential Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the entire sauna for as long as you own it. That includes the heaters, control panels, electrical components, wood cabin, audio and chromotherapy lighting. Parts and shipping are covered for life, but labor isn't. The warranty page says labor is covered for an initial period without giving its length. The owner's manual, which lists Sanctuary 1, sets labor at 7 years for indoor home use in the US and Canada, counted from the purchase date. The manual says the warranty can't be transferred without written consent from Sauna Works, which issues it. Commercial use carries a 5-year warranty. The warranty page says registration is automatic when the sauna ships, while the manual asks you to register within 30 days of purchase.Sunlighten's warranty page gives the cabinetry and heaters 7 years for home use, and one set of terms covers its mPulse, Signature and Amplify cabins. Coverage is for replacement parts only, with no labor or technician costs. You pay freight on parts shipped for service, and the page excludes costs or freight for parts shipped more than 90 days after delivery. Controls (tablet, control pad and power box) get 3 years, the glass door and audio get 1 year. Chromotherapy and the Blaupunkt sound system carry a separate 1-year manufacturer's warranty. Commercial use gets 5 years on the cabinetry and heaters and 1 year on controls, glass and audio. It covers only the original buyer and ends if you transfer ownership, and the sauna must be bought and put into use within a year of its manufacture date. It's void if the sauna is altered, misused or exposed to water. It's also void on a power strip, extension cord, converter or non-dedicated circuit. The same goes for a spot within 5 ft of a shower, tub or cold plunge, or a repair attempted without consulting Sunlighten. Sunlighten says its saunas aren't designed for outdoor use, and outdoors the separately sold cover must stay on at all times, even during sessions. The page doesn't say whether the red and near-infrared LED panels count as heaters.
ReturnsClearlight calls it a "30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy," but a return isn't free. You have 30 business days from receipt and need a return authorization (RMA). The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, with undamaged original packaging and all manuals. Clearlight deducts a 25% restocking charge and the original shipping charges. If the sauna shipped under a free or discounted shipping promotion, that means the actual freight cost. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. Orders canceled before shipment are fully refunded. Concealed damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery. You have 30 days from delivery to return it, but only while it's unopened in its original packaging. Opened saunas can't be returned or exchanged. Fees can include a 3% administrative fee and a $499 restocking fee for each mPulse sauna. They can also include storage fees, return shipping to the warehouse and shipping back to you on an exchange. To cancel before it ships, email your sales representative, and the same fees may apply. To return it, email your sales representative for an authorization, or Sunlighten's logistics team if you have none. Sunlighten then schedules the pickup and refunds your original payment method after it inspects and restocks the sauna. Sunlighten reserves the right to refuse a return, exchange or cancellation.
Unresolved questions
  • The current quoted price, and whether the Save $600 promotion applies
  • Whether Clearlight recommends a dedicated circuit. Its pages don't say
  • Whether the red light therapy upgrade needs a bigger circuit. Clearlight's FAQ says add-ons typically raise the requirement from 15 A to 20 A or from 20 A to 30 A, but names no models
  • Whether the warranty page's unstated labor period matches the owner's manual, which sets it at 7 years for indoor use
  • Number and wattage of the far-infrared heaters
  • Which models and components the claimed ETL and CE certification covers
  • Delivery timeline
  • The price, and which models the Sale ends 10/31/26 footnote covers
  • A ship date or lead time for the Aspire, since the shipping page says the estimated ship date varies by model
  • Whether any EMF measurement covers the Aspire, since the Vitatech report tested other models and the safety page's 0.5 mG figure gives no model or distance
  • The ETL file number and which models it covers
  • A top cabin temperature
  • Average power draw once the cabin is up to temperature
  • The minimum doorway width its panels and cartons need
  • Whether the 7-year heater warranty covers the red and near-infrared LED panels
  • Whether your local code requires GFCI protection, and what an electrician would charge
  • The tablet's screen size, and whether there's an automatic shut-off
  • Whether the sauna works without Wi-Fi, since the spec sheet lists dual-band Wi-Fi as required and Sunlighten doesn't say
