Choose ifAn adult in a served state who can reach a partner lab and wants two broad blood panels a year, tracked in one app.An adult in one of the 48 states Function serves who wants a broad blood panel twice a year, paid out of pocket, to track over time and discuss with their own clinician.
Main trade-offThe retest covers fewer markers, the plan auto-renews at the then-current rate, and the fee is refundable only in a one-time window that closes 7 days after first results or 45 days after joining, whichever comes first. It's nonrefundable after 48 hours or once a specimen is collected, the renewal price isn't stated, and imaging, add-on tests and home draws cost extra.
Key specifications
  • Biomarkers: 150+ across both draws: 100+ in the baseline panel and 50+ in the retest
  • Blood tests per year: 2: a baseline panel, then a retest (the homepage says 3 to 6 months later)
  • Sample collection: Blood draw at 2,000+ partner lab locations, or at home for $119 extra
  • Turnaround: About 1 week. Superpower also says 10 days or less
  • Membership terms: $349 a year ($599 in NY and NJ). Auto-renews at the then-current non-promotional rate, with no cancellation fee
  • Care access: App with Superpower AI and an on-demand care team. Providers include licensed physicians, nurse practitioners and pharmacists. The FAQ says the concierge replies within 1 business day
  • Eligibility: 18 and older and located in the US. The FAQ says it isn't available in AK, AR, HI, LA, MS, ND, RI, SD or WY. The homepage's live-state list, though, includes AK, AR, LA, MS and RI and omits ME, MT, NH, VT and WV
  • Laboratories: Labcorp, Quest Diagnostics or another third-party lab, since Superpower doesn't operate one. Its biomarker pages describe many assays as run in CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited labs
  • Lab tests: 160+ a year: 100+ at the annual visit, then 60+ more in a follow-up 3 to 6 months later
  • Sample method: Blood draw at a Quest location (about 35 to 85 mL)
  • Home draw: A licensed specialist can draw blood at your home or office in select areas. Function lists it as an advanced add-on test, with no price shown
  • Imaging: MRI and CT aren't included, but members get member pricing. The FAQ lists the Annual MRI at $999 for members and shows no price for the other scans
  • Preparation: Fast for 8 hours before the test
  • Turnaround: First results typically start arriving within 48 hours of testing. The How it works page says results are ready around 2 weeks after an at-home draw appointment
  • Clinician review: Function says clinicians review every result and flag issues. Results include a clinician's summary and action items
  • Membership terms: Billed annually and auto-renews at the then-current price. You can cancel and rejoin anytime but can't pause. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the billing cycle
  • Eligibility: Adults 18+ who aren't currently pregnant, in 48 states (not yet Rhode Island, Hawai'i or Puerto Rico). In New York and New Jersey, some lab fees may be billed to you directly by the lab
  • Insurance and HSA/FSA: Function doesn't bill insurance. It lists the membership as HSA/FSA eligible, subject to your plan, with an itemized receipt in your account for reimbursement

ReturnsThe Membership Agreement (effective September 15, 2026) offers a one-time Satisfaction Refund of 100% of the base membership fee for your initial term. The deadline to ask is 7 days after your results are delivered or 45 days after your start date, whichever comes first. It doesn't apply to renewals. It also doesn't apply to memberships obtained through an employer or as a gift, unless that channel's terms say otherwise. Apart from that refund, membership fees are non-refundable, and cancelling doesn't by itself earn one. Imaging and functional testing must be cancelled within 60 days of payment and more than five business days before the appointment. Prescription products aren't refundable. The FAQ still says Superpower doesn't offer refunds. That only applies before any specimen is collected or lab testing is done. After that, the membership and renewals are nonrefundable, and the FAQ says Function doesn't refund prior payments. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. You can't pause a membership, though the FAQ says you can cancel and rejoin at any time.
Unresolved questions
  • Exact baseline and retest marker lists in your state (Superpower says included biomarkers vary by state)
  • Which states are served. The FAQ excludes nine, but the homepage's list of live states includes Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Rhode Island and leaves out Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, Vermont and West Virginia
  • Whether the $119 at-home fee applies to each draw
  • Member prices for add-on diagnostics
  • Whether access continues after you cancel. The homepage FAQ says the membership stays active through the end of the paid year, but the Membership Agreement says cancelling immediately ends concierge, marketplace and clinical access
  • Which refund terms apply in practice. The FAQ says no refunds, but the Membership Agreement dated September 15, 2026 describes a one-time Satisfaction Refund
  • Fasting and preparation requirements for each draw
  • Whether the labs' CLIA and CAP status matches CMS or CAP listings (not checked)
  • Renewal price after the first year
  • How much the lab bills directly in New York and New Jersey
  • Prices for add-on tests, the home draw and imaging other than the Annual MRI
  • Turnaround for the complete panel
  • Which accreditations, such as CLIA or CAP, the testing labs hold
  • What the expired "Function Day offer" changed
