Choose ifTwo or three people who want red light built into their sauna and can add a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit. Two adults with about 57 × 54 in of floor space and a lightly loaded 15 A outlet who want a near-infrared panel included at a published price.
Main trade-offYou pay $1,600 extra for red light with no published wavelength or dose, and opened saunas can't be returned. The 1,780 W draw nearly fills a 15 A circuit, the panel has no published wavelength or output, and beyond the heater core, harness and wiring the warranty runs 10 years, with warranty labor at your expense.

Exact variant3-person infrared cabin with integrated red-light configuration2-person indoor infrared cabin, Indonesian mahogany, Tecoloy dual-wave mid/far-infrared heaters plus a standard 96-diode near-infrared LED panel, 120V/15A plug-in
DimensionsOutside: 62.3 W × 45.9 D × 77.7 H in, including 2 in feet. Inside: 56.8 W × 39.9 D × 70.3 H in. The door opening is 28 in. The bench is 56.6 in wide and 20.2 in deep, 19.5 in off the floor. The eucalyptus model weighs 710 lb. Sunlighten says it fits under a standard 8 ft ceiling and its panels fit through a standard 30 in doorway. The product page gives no clearance to leave around the cabin.Outside: 47.25 W × 43.5 D × 77 H in. Inside: 45 W × 39.5 D × 71.5 H in. The manual asks for at least 5 in of clearance from walls on all sides, so plan on about 57.25 × 53.5 in of floor space. Health Mate doesn't state the weight or bench size.
InstallationIt needs a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit and a NEMA 6-20R outlet for its 6-20P plug. Sunlighten tells you to book your electrician early so the outlet is ready on build day. Its FAQ says a power strip or converter voids the warranty. The warranty page also rules out extension cords and non-dedicated circuits. It requires at least 5 ft between the sauna and any source of water or vapor. The product page doesn't mention GFCI protection or clearance around the cabin. Freight arrives in two to three large boxes on a pallet, left in your garage or on a flat, paved driveway spot. The carrier calls first to schedule. The panels lock together with Magne-Seal corners, without screws or nails. Sunlighten says two people take about 2 to 3 hours. Its guides page has manuals and assembly guides for the standard Amplify II, III and IV, but none listed under Amplify RED.It plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug, and the product page says "no electrician needed." The catch is the load. The 1,780 W rating works out to about 14.8 A at 120 V, which leaves the circuit little room for anything else. The manual says to confirm the breaker matches the sauna's rating and not to share the circuit with too many appliances. It also calls for a properly grounded three-wire outlet and strongly recommends a GFCI in potentially wet locations. The cabin must be freestanding (not built into a structure) on a level, dry surface. It ships crated on a pallet by freight, with lift-gate service and a scheduled appointment, typically in 7 to 12 business days. Standard curbside delivery is free. The product page lists inside delivery and white-glove delivery as quoted separately, and says extra fees may apply if the carrier needs special access or handling. According to the manual, the magnetic wall panels need no tools. The shipping page says two people can assemble it in 30 minutes or less. For outdoor use, the manual says it needs a cover and a spot under an awning or overhang.
MaterialsEucalyptus tongue-and-groove boards on solid wood framing, which Sunlighten calls sustainably sourced and non-toxic. Basswood and Obsidian finishes were marked not available for this model. One line on the page says its saunas are made of basswood, which conflicts with the eucalyptus selection. Sunlighten says the glue on its boards was third-party tested by Franklin International.100% Indonesian mahogany. Health Mate notes that grain, tone and finish vary. The info sheet describes a wood interior and exterior with limited see-through glass. The handle is stainless steel.
WarrantySunlighten's warranty page groups Amplify with its other cabin saunas. For home use, the cabinet and heaters get 7 years, the controls 3 years, and the glass door and audio 1 year. Cabinetry includes benches, floor grates and heater cover frames. Controls include the control pad, in-sauna tablet and power box. Commercial use gets 5 years on the cabinet and heaters and 1 year on everything else. The cabin terms don't single out the red-light heaters. The general terms cover replacement parts only. Labor and technician costs aren't covered. You pay all freight, including on parts shipped for service. Coverage is for the original buyer only and ends if you sell the sauna. It's void on a power strip, extension cord, converter or non-dedicated circuit, or within 5 ft of water. Outdoors, the plastic sheet of the sauna cover (sold separately) must stay on at all times, even during sessions. The sauna must be bought and put into use within a year of its manufacture date. The page shows no version or effective date. The product page markets a "Limited Lifetime Warranty," but the same page's FAQ says only that Health Mate saunas come with a 10-year warranty on wood. The owner's manual is more specific. Its warranty section is headed "10-Year Limited Warranty" and applies to saunas bought after 2024. It gives lifetime coverage to the heater core, harness and wiring. Coverage is 10 years on the cabin and frame, paneling, flooring, door and glass, handles, electronic controls and wiring, interior and exterior lighting, interior audio, and labor of factory-installed components. A second, shorter column of 1 to 5 years applies to what the manual defines as commercial use. Despite that labor row, the same terms say labor to replace cabin, frame, hardware and component parts isn't covered. All warranty labor must be done by the customer or a contractor, at the customer's expense. You pay shipping on parts in both directions, and removal and reinstallation costs are excluded. A claim requires timely registration. The warranty can't be assigned or transferred unless Health Mate approves. Upgrades, options, parts and accessories follow their own manufacturer's warranty, and the near-infrared LED panel isn't named. The coverage table has no outdoor column, so it doesn't address outdoor placement, which the manual allows with a cover. Health Mate's warranty page words the lifetime offer as applying to new full-size saunas purchased in 2025. Its warranty sheet is titled "Limited Warranty."
ReturnsNon-custom saunas can be returned within 30 days of delivery, but only unopened in the original packaging. Opened saunas can't be returned. Fees can include a 3% administrative fee, a $499 restocking fee per Amplify sauna, storage fees and return shipping. Cancelling before it ships can cost the 3% fee, plus storage fees if it has to be rerouted.Health Mate accepts returns within 30 business days of receipt, with a return authorization (RMA) number. The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, in undamaged original packaging with all manuals. The catch is cost. The refund is reduced by a 20% restocking charge (about $1,060 at list price) and any original shipping charges. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. An order canceled before shipment is fully refunded. After shipment, a cancellation is handled as a return. The returns policy gives 5 business days to inspect for concealed damage. But the shipping page says damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 1 day (24 hours) of delivery.
