Choose ifTwo or three people who want red light built into their sauna and can add a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit.A solo user with about 42.5 × 48.25 in of floor space who wants full-spectrum heaters running off a standard 120V, 15A outlet.
Main trade-offYou pay $1,600 extra for red light with no published wavelength or dose, and opened saunas can't be returned. There's no published price, labor is covered for 7 years rather than for life, and the 14.6A draw leaves little headroom on a 15A circuit.

The product page gives no clearance to leave around the cabin.Exterior 42.5 W × 48.25 D × 77 H in. Interior 37.5 W × 45.5 D × 72.5 H in. Bench 35.5 W × 21.75 D × 19 H in. It weighs 425 lb. InstallationIt needs a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit and a NEMA 6-20R outlet for its 6-20P plug. Sunlighten tells you to book your electrician early so the outlet is ready on build day. Its FAQ says a power strip or converter voids the warranty. The warranty page also rules out extension cords and non-dedicated circuits. It requires at least 5 ft between the sauna and any source of water or vapor. The product page doesn't mention GFCI protection or clearance around the cabin. Freight arrives in two to three large boxes on a pallet, left in your garage or on a flat, paved driveway spot. The carrier calls first to schedule. The panels lock together with Magne-Seal corners, without screws or nails. Sunlighten says two people take about 2 to 3 hours. Its guides page has manuals and assembly guides for the standard Amplify II, III and IV, but none listed under Amplify RED.It plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A household outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug. The product page doesn't say it needs a dedicated circuit. Shipping is advertised as free. The sauna arrives by freight with lift-gate service at a scheduled delivery appointment, and someone 18 or older must sign for it. Clearlight says two people usually assemble it in about 1 to 1.5 hours with a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench. Its FAQ says 1 to 3 hours. Clearlight offers installation service in some areas but doesn't state a price.
MaterialsEucalyptus tongue-and-groove boards on solid wood framing, which Sunlighten calls sustainably sourced and non-toxic. Basswood and Obsidian finishes were marked not available for this model. One line on the page says its saunas are made of basswood, which conflicts with the eucalyptus selection. Sunlighten says the glue on its boards was third-party tested by Franklin International.Mahogany or basswood. Clearlight calls it furniture-grade natural wood and notes that grain and color vary from cabin to cabin.
WarrantySunlighten's warranty page groups Amplify with its other cabin saunas. For home use, the cabinet and heaters get 7 years, the controls 3 years, and the glass door and audio 1 year. Cabinetry includes benches, floor grates and heater cover frames. Controls include the control pad, in-sauna tablet and power box. Commercial use gets 5 years on the cabinet and heaters and 1 year on everything else. The cabin terms don't single out the red-light heaters. The general terms cover replacement parts only. Labor and technician costs aren't covered. You pay all freight, including on parts shipped for service. Coverage is for the original buyer only and ends if you sell the sauna. It's void on a power strip, extension cord, converter or non-dedicated circuit, or within 5 ft of water. Outdoors, the plastic sheet of the sauna cover (sold separately) must stay on at all times, even during sessions. The sauna must be bought and put into use within a year of its manufacture date. The page shows no version or effective date.Clearlight says its residential Limited Lifetime Warranty covers the entire sauna for as long as you own it. That means the heaters, control panels and electrical components, wood cabin, audio and chromotherapy lighting. Parts and shipping are covered for life, but labor isn't. The warranty page says labor is covered for an initial period without giving its length. The Sanctuary owner's manual, which lists Sanctuary 1, sets labor at 7 years for indoor home use in the US and Canada. The manual counts coverage from the purchase date. It also says the warranty can't be transferred without written consent from Sauna Works, which issues it. Commercial use falls under a 5-year warranty. The warranty page says registration is automatic when the sauna ships. The manual instead asks you to register within 30 days of purchase.
ReturnsNon-custom saunas can be returned within 30 days of delivery, but only unopened in the original packaging. Opened saunas can't be returned. Fees can include a 3% administrative fee, a $499 restocking fee per Amplify sauna, storage fees and return shipping. Cancelling before it ships can cost the 3% fee, plus storage fees if it has to be rerouted.Clearlight calls it a "30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy," but a return isn't free. You have 30 business days from receipt and need a return authorization (RMA). The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, with undamaged original packaging and all manuals. Clearlight deducts a 25% restocking charge and the original shipping charges. If the sauna shipped under a free or discounted shipping promotion, that means the actual freight cost. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. Orders canceled before shipment are fully refunded. Concealed damage must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.
Unresolved questions
  • The red-light heaters' wavelength and irradiance, and whether they run at the same time as the far-infrared heaters
  • Average power use during a session, and so the yearly running cost
  • Whether the circuit needs GFCI protection, and how much clearance to leave around the cabin
  • What the linked Amplify RED III spec sheet adds, since it couldn't be opened on Oct 13, 2026
  • Whether an ETL listing covers this exact model, and its file number
  • What the Vitatech EMF test measured, at what distance, and whether it included the red-light heaters
  • Whether it's in stock, since the product page and Sunlighten's store listing disagreed
  • The lifespan and replacement price of the full-spectrum and red-light heaters
  • Whether the $8,599 sale price lasts past the October 14 event
  • The current quoted price, and whether the Save $600 promotion applies
  • Whether the owner's manual or spec sheet recommends a dedicated circuit (the linked spec sheet couldn't be opened)
  • Whether the red light therapy upgrade needs a bigger circuit. Clearlight's FAQ says add-ons may require a circuit upgrade, typically from 15 A to 20 A or from 20 A to 30 A, but doesn't name models
  • Whether the manual's 7-year labor term is current, since the warranty page gives no length
  • Number and wattage of the far-infrared heaters
  • Which models and components the claimed ETL and CE certification covers
  • Delivery timeline
