| Choose if | You sleep on your side and want a blackout mask whose cups don't press on your eyes. | A sleeper who finds gentle weight on the eyes calming and can't stand straps. |
| Main trade-off | Defects are covered for only six months, and Manta lists no OEKO-TEX or similar certification. | It may slide off during the night, and you get a 30-day return window but no warranty terms. |

| Dimensions | Manta's FAQ says the PRO fits heads 17 to 24 inches around. Laid out flat, it extends up to 26 inches. The eye cups are 3.55 inches across and about 3/4 inch deep at the center. The product page calls the head strap 73 cm around and fully adjustable, but doesn't say how that squares with the 17 to 24 inch range. Manta doesn't give the mask's weight. | Nodpod gives the size as 29 by 4 inches and the weight as 9 oz, spread over four bead-filled pods. Colors are the only option. There's no strap, so there's no head size to pick. |
| Installation | Nothing to install. You slide the C-shaped eye cups along the strap until they sit over your eyes, then adjust the hook-and-loop strap. The strap is angled to sit above your ears rather than on them. To clean it, machine wash it cold in a mesh laundry net with the cups attached, then lay it flat to air dry. Manta says not to tumble dry it, since heat can damage the mask, and not to bleach it. | Nothing to install. For side sleeping, put the last two pods over your eyes and rest your head on the hollow end. Sitting up, pull a corner through the slit to hold it on. Machine wash it on a normal cycle with a full load, inside a garment bag. It's dryer-safe, but Nodpod recommends air drying so it lasts longer. You can chill it in the freezer, and it stays soft. Don't microwave it, because the beads melt. |
| Materials | The eye cups and the inside of the mask are Tactel fabric. The strap is perforated foam and mesh, with an anti-slip silicone grip on the inside. Manta's FAQ says the outer mesh is polyester and that the mask uses no animal-derived materials. Manta doesn't give the Tactel's fiber content or say whether the PRO's foam is latex free. Its FAQ makes the latex-free claim only for the Original mask. | Nodpod's product details list one side as 100% cotton and the other as 100% soft-touch velvet. The fill is BPA-free, scent-free polyethylene (PE) beads. Its FAQ describes the sides differently: a cooling jersey cotton and a warmer microfiber fleece. Nodpod says it avoids organic fills because they grow mold and can't be washed. The product page shows an OEKO-TEX Certified badge but no certificate number. |
| Warranty | Manta covers manufacturing defects on non-electronic products, including the PRO, for six months from purchase. The only remedy is a replacement with the same product. Sending a video of the defect speeds up the claim. Manta issues a return label once its quality team confirms the defect. | Not stated by the manufacturer. The product page, refund policy and FAQ don't mention a warranty or defect cover. That leaves the 30-day return window as your only cover. |
| Returns | Manta offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. You contact its support team, and it emails a prepaid return label. The mask has to arrive back in good condition and in its original packaging. Manta then gives you a refund or store credit. If you paid for shipping, that fee isn't refunded. The policy doesn't say whether a mask you've slept in or washed still qualifies. Instead of a refund, you can exchange once per order within 60 days for an item at the same price or lower. You pay the exchange shipping and have 7 days to send the original back. After an exchange, the order can't be refunded. | Nodpod offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, with returns or exchanges, on orders from nodpod.com. Orders marked Final Sale can't be returned. The product page points you to a returns portal, but the refund policy says you need a return authorization before sending anything back. You pay return shipping, and Nodpod isn't responsible for returns lost in transit. Returns are processed within 10 to 14 business days. A mask bought from another store goes back under that store's policy. The FAQ promises a refund if you're not satisfied but doesn't say whether a washed mask qualifies. |
