Choose ifTwo adults with about 57 × 54 in of floor space and a lightly loaded 15 A outlet who want a near-infrared panel included at a published price. Two adults without indoor space who can set the 970 lb cabin on a level, draining pad and run a new 240 V, 20 A circuit to it.
Main trade-offThe 1,780 W draw nearly fills a 15 A circuit, the panel has no published wavelength or output, and beyond the heater core, harness and wiring the warranty runs 10 years, with warranty labor at your expense. You pay for the electrician and the pad on top of the price, warranty labor and shipping end after 90 days, and you can't return it once it's unpacked.
Key specifications

DimensionsOutside: 47.25 W × 43.5 D × 77 H in. Inside: 45 W × 39.5 D × 71.5 H in. The manual asks for at least 5 in of clearance from walls on all sides, so plan on about 57.25 × 53.5 in of floor space. Health Mate doesn't state the weight or bench size.Exterior: 57 W × 51.5 D × 82.7 H in. Interior: 53.4 W × 47.2 D × 71.7 H in. The door opening is 24 in. The cabin weighs 970 lb assembled. It ships in one 65 × 32 × 89 in crate with a gross weight of 975 lb.
InstallationIt plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug, and the product page says "no electrician needed." The catch is the load. The 1,780 W rating works out to about 14.8 A at 120 V, which leaves the circuit little room for anything else. The manual says to confirm the breaker matches the sauna's rating and not to share the circuit with too many appliances. It also calls for a properly grounded three-wire outlet and strongly recommends a GFCI in potentially wet locations. The cabin must be freestanding (not built into a structure) on a level, dry surface. It ships crated on a pallet by freight, with lift-gate service and a scheduled appointment, typically in 7 to 12 business days. Standard curbside delivery is free. The product page lists inside delivery and white-glove delivery as quoted separately, and says extra fees may apply if the carrier needs special access or handling. According to the manual, the magnetic wall panels need no tools. The shipping page says two people can assemble it in 30 minutes or less. For outdoor use, the manual says it needs a cover and a spot under an awning or overhang. It needs a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit with GFCI protection. It also needs a weatherproof NEMA L6-20R twist-lock receptacle within 6 ft of the cord exit. Sun Home says a licensed electrician is required. The manual says not to plug it into a standard 120 V household outlet or share the outlet with other appliances. The 8 ft cord exits the roof at the back wall. The pad must be flat, level and draining, extend at least 6 in beyond the footprint and support at least 1,500 lb. Leave 4 to 6 in behind and beside the cabin, 20 to 24 in above the roof, and room for the door to swing fully open. The product page says to install it at least 5 ft from other electrical devices. Placing it within 5 ft of a water source that produces liquid or vapor voids the warranty. The owner's manual offers a free roof security cable kit, requested by email, to anchor the sauna. It doesn't say at what wind speed the kit is needed. The sauna arrives palletized at the curb in one crate. Sun Home says to set aside half a day and two or more people for assembly.
Materials100% Indonesian mahogany. Health Mate notes that grain, tone and finish vary. The info sheet describes a wood interior and exterior with limited see-through glass. The handle is stainless steel. The interior is Canadian red cedar. The exterior has what Sun Home calls aerospace-grade aluminum cladding, a stainless steel roof and double-pane black glass. A fitted all-weather cover is included.
WarrantyThe product page markets a "Limited Lifetime Warranty," but the same page's FAQ says only that Health Mate saunas come with a 10-year warranty on wood. The owner's manual is more specific. Its warranty section is headed "10-Year Limited Warranty" and applies to saunas bought after 2024. It gives lifetime coverage to the heater core, harness and wiring. Coverage is 10 years on the cabin and frame, paneling, flooring, door and glass, handles, electronic controls and wiring, interior and exterior lighting, interior audio, and labor of factory-installed components. A second, shorter column of 1 to 5 years applies to what the manual defines as commercial use. Despite that labor row, the same terms say labor to replace cabin, frame, hardware and component parts isn't covered. All warranty labor must be done by the customer or a contractor, at the customer's expense. You pay shipping on parts in both directions, and removal and reinstallation costs are excluded. A claim requires timely registration. The warranty can't be assigned or transferred unless Health Mate approves. Upgrades, options, parts and accessories follow their own manufacturer's warranty, and the near-infrared LED panel isn't named. The coverage table has no outdoor column, so it doesn't address outdoor placement, which the manual allows with a cover. Health Mate's warranty page words the lifetime offer as applying to new full-size saunas purchased in 2025. Its warranty sheet is titled "Limited Warranty."These terms cover residential purchases in the US on or after March 2, 2026. Cabinetry (benches, floor grates and heater cover frames) and heaters get a limited lifetime warranty. That coverage applies for up to seven years, which the terms give as their expected useful life. The exterior cabin and the controls (control panel and power box) get 3 years each. LED lighting, glass doors and audio get 1 year. For the first 90 days after delivery, warranty service includes replacement parts, labor and shipping. After that, you pay shipping and labor. Only the original purchaser is covered. Weather events, normal weathering, cosmetic damage and water exposure are excluded. Lacking a dedicated outlet, or placing the sauna within 5 ft of a water source, voids the warranty. The included cover is optional, and not using it doesn't by itself void the warranty. Commercial use carries shorter terms.
ReturnsHealth Mate accepts returns within 30 business days of receipt, with a return authorization (RMA) number. The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, in undamaged original packaging with all manuals. The catch is cost. The refund is reduced by a 20% restocking charge (about $1,060 at list price) and any original shipping charges. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. An order canceled before shipment is fully refunded. After shipment, a cancellation is handled as a return. The returns policy gives 5 business days to inspect for concealed damage. But the shipping page says damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 1 day (24 hours) of delivery. You can return an unused sauna in its original, unopened packaging within 30 days of delivery. Sun Home deducts a 25% restocking fee plus outbound and inbound shipping, even on free-shipping orders. It doesn't accept uncrated, assembled or used saunas. Every cancellation carries a 3% fee. You can cancel an in-stock order within 24 hours. After that, a 25% restocking fee and possibly roundtrip shipping apply. Refunds are issued within 21 days of Sun Home receiving the return. Inspect the shipment before the delivery driver leaves.
