Choose ifTwo adults with about 57 × 54 in of floor space and a lightly loaded 15 A outlet who want a near-infrared panel included at a published price. Two people who want full-spectrum heaters at a listed price and can supply a dedicated 120 V, 20 A GFCI circuit, plus about 51 × 46 in of indoor floor space with side, back and overhead clearance.
Main trade-offThe 1,780 W draw nearly fills a 15 A circuit, the panel has no published wavelength or output, and beyond the heater core, harness and wiring the warranty runs 10 years, with warranty labor at your expense. No electrical safety listing is named, labor and shipping are covered for just 90 days, and returns exclude opened cabins and cost 25% plus freight both ways.

DimensionsOutside: 47.25 W × 43.5 D × 77 H in. Inside: 45 W × 39.5 D × 71.5 H in. The manual asks for at least 5 in of clearance from walls on all sides, so plan on about 57.25 × 53.5 in of floor space. Health Mate doesn't state the weight or bench size.Outside (assembled): 50.9 W × 45.9 D × 77.7 H in. Inside: 45.4 W × 39.9 D × 70.3 H in. The door opening is 28 in, and the bench is 45 in wide and 19.5 in high. It weighs 541 lb assembled and ships in cartons up to 14 × 51 × 76 in. You need at least 4 in of clearance at the sides and back, and 12 in above the roof. The manual, citing the Installation Guide, gives 6 in behind. Sun Home says a 7 × 6 ft room with an 8 ft ceiling fits either Equinox size.
InstallationIt plugs into a standard 120 V, 15 A outlet with a NEMA 5-15P plug, and the product page says "no electrician needed." The catch is the load. The 1,780 W rating works out to about 14.8 A at 120 V, which leaves the circuit little room for anything else. The manual says to confirm the breaker matches the sauna's rating and not to share the circuit with too many appliances. It also calls for a properly grounded three-wire outlet and strongly recommends a GFCI in potentially wet locations. The cabin must be freestanding (not built into a structure) on a level, dry surface. It ships crated on a pallet by freight, with lift-gate service and a scheduled appointment, typically in 7 to 12 business days. Standard curbside delivery is free. The product page lists inside delivery and white-glove delivery as quoted separately, and says extra fees may apply if the carrier needs special access or handling. According to the manual, the magnetic wall panels need no tools. The shipping page says two people can assemble it in 30 minutes or less. For outdoor use, the manual says it needs a cover and a spot under an awning or overhang. It needs its own dedicated 120 V, 20 A circuit with GFCI protection. That can be a GFCI breaker, a GFCI outlet or a dual-function AFCI/GFCI breaker (check local code). The 5-20P plug needs a NEMA 5-20R receptacle. Don't use power strips, extension cords or converters. The owner's manual says to have a licensed electrician install the dedicated circuit. The 10 ft power cord exits the back-left of the roof. It's for indoor use only, away from rain, snow, high humidity and liquids. Leave at least 4 in at the sides and back (6 in behind, per the Installation Guide) and 12 in overhead. Sun Home says its Magne-Seal panels assemble indoors without special tools. The manual says assembly takes two or more people. No assembly time is stated. According to Sun Home's warranty FAQ, installation that doesn't follow the instructions or electrical requirements, such as a dedicated outlet, voids the warranty. So does placing the sauna within five feet of a source of water that produces liquid or vapor.
Materials100% Indonesian mahogany. Health Mate notes that grain, tone and finish vary. The info sheet describes a wood interior and exterior with limited see-through glass. The handle is stainless steel.Kiln-dried eucalyptus. Sun Home says it uses low-VOC materials throughout, but shows no emissions test or certification.
WarrantyThe product page markets a "Limited Lifetime Warranty," but the same page's FAQ says only that Health Mate saunas come with a 10-year warranty on wood. The owner's manual is more specific. Its warranty section is headed "10-Year Limited Warranty" and applies to saunas bought after 2024. It gives lifetime coverage to the heater core, harness and wiring. Coverage is 10 years on the cabin and frame, paneling, flooring, door and glass, handles, electronic controls and wiring, interior and exterior lighting, interior audio, and labor of factory-installed components. A second, shorter column of 1 to 5 years applies to what the manual defines as commercial use. Despite that labor row, the same terms say labor to replace cabin, frame, hardware and component parts isn't covered. All warranty labor must be done by the customer or a contractor, at the customer's expense. You pay shipping on parts in both directions, and removal and reinstallation costs are excluded. A claim requires timely registration. The warranty can't be assigned or transferred unless Health Mate approves. Upgrades, options, parts and accessories follow their own manufacturer's warranty, and the near-infrared LED panel isn't named. The coverage table has no outdoor column, so it doesn't address outdoor placement, which the manual allows with a cover. Health Mate's warranty page words the lifetime offer as applying to new full-size saunas purchased in 2025. Its warranty sheet is titled "Limited Warranty."The product page shows a "7-Year Warranty". A site-wide menu advertises a "Limited Lifetime Warranty" on most models but doesn't say whether it applies to this one. The owner's manual gives 7 years on cabinetry and heaters and 3 years on controls. Glass and audio get 1 year. Coverage is for the original owner only, with proof of purchase. Sun Home's warranty FAQ says limited lifetime coverage for cabinetry and heaters is for residential use only and applies for up to seven years. For orders placed on or after March 2, 2026, labor and all shipping charges are covered for the first 90 days. After that, you pay shipping and labor. Exclusions include moisture and water exposure, pests, and improper installation, including not using a dedicated outlet. Placing the sauna within five feet of any source of water that produces liquid or vapor is also excluded. Commercial buyers get separate terms.
ReturnsHealth Mate accepts returns within 30 business days of receipt, with a return authorization (RMA) number. The sauna must be in new or like-new condition, in undamaged original packaging with all manuals. The catch is cost. The refund is reduced by a 20% restocking charge (about $1,060 at list price) and any original shipping charges. You also pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. An order canceled before shipment is fully refunded. After shipment, a cancellation is handled as a return. The returns policy gives 5 business days to inspect for concealed damage. But the shipping page says damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and reported within 1 day (24 hours) of delivery. You can return the sauna within 30 days of delivery only if it's unused and in its original, unopened packaging. Sun Home deducts a 25% restocking fee plus outbound and inbound shipping from the refund, even during free-shipping promotions. It won't take back an uncrated, assembled or used sauna under any circumstances. Refunds are issued within 21 days of Sun Home receiving the return. Every cancellation carries a 3% fee per product. You can cancel an in-stock order within 24 hours of placing it. After that, a 25% restocking fee and possibly roundtrip shipping apply. Sun Home asks you to inspect the shipment before the delivery driver leaves.
