The verdict

The Gen 2 All-In is a 105-gallon tub with ozone sanitation, app control and a 0.75 HP chiller that Plunge says reaches 37°F. It needs only water and a dedicated 120 V, 15 A circuit, but it weighs 1,150 lb filled. Even on sale it's $7,990, with a 1-year base warranty and no power-draw figure on the product page.

The trade-off

The price depends on a time-limited sale, the base warranty is one year, and running costs are unknown because the product page gives no power draw.

About this price

Sale price. On Oct 13, 2026, Plunge's product page showed the Cold Only version at $7,990 in the Fall Plunge Sale. The page says "$2,000 off applied automatically", and the discount is already in the displayed price, so it isn't a checkout code. The "Comp. Value" was $9,990, which is also the store's undiscounted price for Cold Only. The Add Heater version showed $8,490 against a $10,490 Comp. Value, matching its undiscounted store price. Prices are before tax. Plunge offers standard curbside delivery and optional in-home delivery in the lower 48 states. Plunge says most customers qualify for free in-home delivery in its core "In Area" zones. These are typically within 35 miles of a major airport hub. Outside those zones, a flat-rate fee based on distance applies. Plunge doesn't say when the sale ends.

More about this assessment

The Plunge All-In Gen 2 is a 105-gallon plug-in cold plunge tub that weighs 1,150 lb filled. Its 0.75 HP chiller cools the water to 37°F, Plunge says, and the free app sets the temperature. There's no plumbing: it needs only water and a dedicated 120 V, 15 A circuit. Cold Only is $7,990 in the Fall Plunge Sale, against a $9,990 variant price. The base warranty is 1 year, and the sale adds a complimentary 2-year extension. The product page gives no power-draw figure, so running costs are unknown.

Strengths on paper

  • Plug-and-plunge setup with no plumbing
  • Free first-level in-home placement for most customers in Plunge's core In Area zones
  • Plunge says the chiller reaches 37°F and can hold it in 120°F ambient air
  • Onboard ozone, plus filters that Plunge says clean the full 105 gallons every 15 minutes
  • Comes with a starter maintenance kit that Plunge calls a 6-month supply

Limitations

  • The $7,990 price is a time-limited sale, against a $9,990 full price
  • The base warranty is 1 year
  • The 2-year extension is a sale promotion
  • No power-draw or energy-use figure, so running costs can't be estimated
  • Standard delivery is curbside
  • In-home delivery doesn't include setup or connection to power

Replacement parts & cost assumptions

Recorded recurring parts and refills:

  • Filters and water-care chemicals: cost not recorded. A starter maintenance kit comes with the tub, which Plunge calls a 6-month supply. The page also shows a free "Maintenance Essentials" add-on, labeled for the All-In and Pro Chiller and valued at $200. It lists six filters and 16 oz each of Sirona Replenish, Spa Up and Spa Down. The page doesn't say whether that add-on is the included kit. It gives no price for a standalone kit or filter, or a schedule for replacing filters.
  • Purchase is the $7,990 Fall Plunge Sale price for Cold Only on Oct 13, 2026. At the $9,990 full price, the three-year estimate rises by $2,000.
  • Installation is unknown. No plumbing is needed, and most customers qualify for free in-home delivery in the core In Area zones. But it needs a dedicated 120 V, 15 A circuit, and no cost is given for adding one. Outside In Area zones, delivery carries a flat-rate fee based on distance. Plunge doesn't state the amount.
  • Annual consumables are unknown. The included kit covers about the first six months of filters and chemicals. No standalone price is given, so later years aren't annualized.
  • Electricity isn't estimated. Plunge lists a 0.75 HP chiller and says Gen 2 cools using 50% less energy. The product page doesn't state watts, kWh or typical daily run time.
  • Other yearly costs are $0. The product page calls it "the free Plunge App" and mentions no subscription or membership fee. The three-year total still can't be worked out, because installation, consumables and electricity are unknown.

Evidence & sources.

Do cold plunges work? Our evidence review grades the research as Mixed. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimThe price, dimensions, weight, chiller rating, capacity, electrical needs, sanitation, inclusions, delivery, warranty and return terms all come from Plunge's product page and its online store listing.13 It's Plunge's own information, not independent testing of cooling speed, temperature holding or water quality.
  • Manufacturer claimPlunge says Gen 2 delivers 31% faster cooling using 50% less energy. It also says a higher-pressure, higher-flow pump delivers 2x the filtration and circulation.1 The claims appear under "What's New in Gen 2". The page doesn't name the comparison baseline, a test method or an absolute energy figure. It also phrases the energy claim as "50% more energy-efficient", which isn't the same as using 50% less energy.
  • Manufacturer claimThe product page headlines "8 proven benefits for your body and mind", including faster recovery, better sleep and elevated mood. It cites no studies for them.1 These are marketing claims, not evidence. This review didn't look at published studies of cold-water immersion and doesn't rely on these benefit claims.
  • Manufacturer claimThe product page cites no electrical safety listing (such as ETL or UL), regulatory clearance or independent testing.1 A listing missing from the page doesn't prove none exists. Certifier databases weren't checked.
