Plunge Air is the cheapest way into a Plunge: a 105-gallon inflatable tub with free app control and a 1/2 HP chiller that Plunge says reaches 39°F. The tub itself is covered for only 90 days, and the warranty depends on keeping it connected to the app. Plunge doesn't publish power draw or filter prices, so running costs are unknown.
The tub is covered for only 90 days (the chiller gets 1 year), and Plunge doesn't publish enough to estimate running costs.

Cold Only list price on Plunge's product page and online store, with no sale price or crossed-out regular price shown. The heater price doesn't line up: Plunge's online store lists the Add Heater option at $5,990, but the page's spec card prices the hot option at +$400. Price is before tax. Plunge says most orders ship free and that delivery costs may vary by model and delivery zone.
A GOOD FIT FOR
Anyone who wants Plunge's chiller and app at the lowest list price, with a 15 A circuit near a floor that can hold about 904 lb.
THINK TWICE IF
| Exact variant | Cold Only (no heater add-on) |
|---|---|
| Lowest stated temperature | 39°F / 4°C |
| Water capacity | 105 gallons |
| Chiller | 1/2 HP for the Air. Plunge rates the standard chiller at 4–6°F per hour and the Pro chiller at 8–10°F per hour. It doesn't say which one ships with Cold Only |
| Electrical | 110–120 V, 15 A. A dedicated circuit is listed as a requirement and recommended in the FAQ. Built-in 15 ft cord. Wattage not published |
| Weight | 28 lb without water, 903.7 lb with water. Chiller weight not published |
| Water care | 20-micron filter plus ozone. Works with chlorine or non-chlorine maintenance |
| Controls | Plunge app over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi to set temperature and track sessions |
| Dimensions | Tub 61 L × 32 W × 28 H in (outer). Plunge doesn't give inner dimensions. The standard chiller is 23 L × 14 W × 18 H in. Plunge also lists a Pro chiller at 28 L × 16 W × 17.5 H in. Leave 12 in of clearance behind the chiller, 12 in to the side and 6 in below. The Air is listed at 28 lb without water and 903.7 lb with water. The chiller's weight isn't published. |
| Materials | Plunge describes an inflatable warp-knit drop-stitch tub that's UV-resistant and insulated, with an insulated cover. The page's comparison cards contradict that. They list "fiberglass reinforced acrylic" for the Air and every other Plunge model. |
It plugs into household power, but Plunge describes the requirement three ways. The product card lists 110 V/15 A. The electrical requirements call for a 120 V, 15 A dedicated circuit and mention a built-in 15 ft power cord. The FAQ says it uses a standard 110 V outlet and recommends a dedicated 15 A circuit with no other appliances on it. Setup, per the FAQ, means inflating the tub with the included pump, connecting two hoses, filling it with water and plugging in. Plunge gives the setup time as 15 or 20 minutes. In-home delivery doesn't include assembly, setup or connection to power or water. It's for indoor or outdoor residential use only.
The tub is covered for 90 days and the chiller for 1 year, according to Plunge's warranty note. Elsewhere the page is less clear. The comparison card lists a "1 year warranty," and the FAQ mentions a "1-year limited warranty" without separating tub and chiller. Coverage starts at delivery. You activate it by downloading the app and connecting the unit to Wi-Fi. It stays active only while the unit remains connected to Wi-Fi and the app.
The FAQ says you can return the unit within 30 days for a full refund. A second FAQ answer calls it a hassle-free return policy but says some conditions may apply. It points to the full Return Policy, which wasn't checked for this review.
Plunge Air is an inflatable cold plunge tub from Plunge, holding 105 gallons and weighing 903.7 lb when filled. Its separate 1/2 HP chiller cools the water to 39°F, Plunge says, and you control it with the free app. Cold Only costs $5,490, and the electrical requirements call for a dedicated 15 A circuit. The tub is covered for only 90 days and the chiller for 1 year. The warranty stays active only while the unit is connected to the app over Wi-Fi. Plunge doesn't publish power draw or filter prices, so running costs are unknown.
