The verdict

Sanctuary 2 is a two-person full-spectrum cabin with heaters on all sides that plugs into a 120 V, 20 A outlet. It suits two adults who want lifetime coverage of parts and shipping, plus 7 years of labor indoors. The catch is a quote-only price, and a return costs 25% plus freight.

The trade-off

You can't compare its cost upfront with listed-price cabins like the Sunlighten Amplify II, labor coverage ends after 7 years indoors, and a return costs 25% plus freight and the original shipping charge.

About this price

No price listed. On Oct 13, 2026, Clearlight's product page showed only "Get Pricing" quote buttons and no dollar price for the sauna. It also advertised "Save $600", an "Early Black Friday Sale" and free shipping. Its financing offer was "as low as $146 per month", or 18 months with $999 down. None of that sets a list price, so no total is worked out from it.

A GOOD FIT FOR

Two adults with a 20 A outlet and about 60 × 56 in of floor space who'd rather have long warranty coverage than a published price.

  • Two adults with a 120 V, 20 A (NEMA 5-20) outlet and about 60 × 56 in of floor space, counting the recommended 4 in of clearance on every side
  • You'll keep it indoors and care more about lifetime parts coverage and 7 years of labor than a published price

THINK TWICE IF

  • You want to compare listed prices before contacting sales
  • A room without a 120 V, 20 A outlet, which Clearlight specifies for its NEMA 5-20P plug
  • Anyone who might need to return it, given the 25% restocking charge, return freight and original shipping deduction
  • An outdoor spot, unless you buy Clearlight's cover with the sauna (outdoor warranty coverage depends on it)
What still needs checking
  • The quoted price
  • Whether mahogany and basswood are priced differently
  • Number and wattage of the far-infrared heaters
  • Whether registration is automatic at shipment (warranty page) or due within 30 days of purchase (owner's manual)
  • Measured EMF/ELF values
  • Any safety-listing file number behind the Intertek and CE logos
  • What the optional installation service costs and where it's offered

The practical details.

Before you buy

InstallationIt plugs straight into a 120 V, 20 A wall receptacle with a NEMA 5-20P plug

It plugs straight into a 120 V, 20 A wall receptacle with a NEMA 5-20P plug. It's rated at 18.83 A, close to the circuit's 20 A rating. Clearlight doesn't say you need a dedicated circuit or an electrician. The manual calls for a properly grounded 3-wire socket and advises against extension cords. It strongly recommends a GFCI in potentially wet locations, and asks for a dry, level surface with at least 4 in of clearance. The sauna ships by liftgate freight, with a scheduled delivery appointment. Clearlight's general assembly page says two people usually assemble it in about 1 to 1.5 hours, using a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench. Installation service is available in some areas, at no stated price. Outdoors, Clearlight requires its optional canvas cover, with the sauna on a deck or concrete pavers.

WarrantyClearlight says its lifetime residential warranty covers the entire sauna…

Clearlight says its lifetime residential warranty covers the entire sauna for as long as you own it: the wood cabin, True Wave heaters, controls and electrical components, audio and chromotherapy lighting. Parts and shipping are covered for life. Labor is covered only for an initial period. The "Sauna Works Limited Lifetime Warranty" table in the owner's manual sets that at 7 years for indoor residential use (USA and Canada only). Outdoor residential use is covered only if you bought Clearlight's water-resistant cover with the sauna and kept it on. In that case, the manual limits cabin and labor coverage to 5 years. Commercial use carries a 5-year warranty. Clearlight's warranty page and manual differ on registration. The warranty page says it's automatic when the sauna ships. The manual says you must register within 30 days of purchase. The manual also says the warranty can't be transferred without Clearlight's written consent.

ReturnsClearlight calls it a "30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy", but returns aren't free

Clearlight calls it a "30 Day Risk-Free Return Policy", but returns aren't free. They're accepted within 30 business days of receipt, and you need a Return Merchandise Authorization. The sauna has to be in new or like-new condition, in undamaged original packaging with all manuals. The refund is the purchase price minus any original shipping charges and a 25% restocking charge. If the sauna shipped under a free or discounted shipping promotion, the actual original freight cost is deducted. You pay return shipping. Custom, private-label and non-standard models are non-refundable. You must open the boxes and inspect them for concealed damage within 5 business days of delivery.

More about this assessment

Sanctuary 2 is Clearlight's two-person full-spectrum infrared cabin, in mahogany or basswood. It plugs into a 120 V, 20 A outlet. Its 18.83 A rating leaves little headroom on that circuit for anything else. Clearlight sells it by quote only, so you can't compare its price upfront. Clearlight says the lifetime residential warranty covers parts and shipping, but the owner's manual limits labor to 7 years indoors. Returns cost a 25% restocking charge, plus return freight and the original shipping cost.

Strengths on paper

  • Heaters on all sides: two 500 W full-spectrum heaters, plus far-infrared heaters on the walls, behind the calves and under the floor
  • Runs on 120 V household power, not 240 V
  • Lifetime residential coverage of parts and shipping, plus 7 years of labor indoors, per the owner's manual
  • Two people can assemble it in about 1 to 1.5 hours with a screwdriver and the included Allen wrench, per Clearlight's general assembly page

Limitations

  • No listed price, only a "Get Pricing" quote button
  • Labor isn't covered for life: 7 years indoors and 5 years outdoors, per the manual
  • The warranty can't be transferred without Clearlight's written consent, according to the manual
  • Returns cost a 25% restocking charge, plus return freight and the original shipping cost
  • The 18.83 A rating leaves little headroom on a 20 A circuit for anything else
  • Clearlight doesn't publish the far-infrared heaters' count or wattage
  • The low EMF/ELF claim comes without measured values

Purchase + installation + years × (annual consumables + annual other) + watts/1000 × hours/day × 365 × years × $/kWh. Annualized allowances, not an exact replacement schedule. Excludes taxes, shipping, finance and resale unless entered.
Replacement parts & cost assumptions

No scheduled consumable is listed. That does not mean zero maintenance or repair costs.

  • The price is quote-only and wasn't on Clearlight's product page on Oct 13, 2026, so there's no three-year total.
  • The 2,260 W figure is the rated draw from the product page. Clearlight doesn't state average consumption during a session or typical daily use.
  • No recurring proprietary part or subscription was found. The $0 for annual consumables doesn't mean zero cost for electricity, cleaning, electrical work, installation service, return freight or repair labor.
  • Shipping is advertised as free. Clearlight doesn't publish a price for the optional installation service (available in some areas) or the optional outdoor canvas cover.

Evidence & sources.

Are saunas good for you? Our evidence review grades the research as Moderate. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimModel configuration, dimensions, heater layout, electrical rating, warranty and return terms all come from Clearlight's own pages and manual.15 These figures come from the maker and weren't measured independently.
  • Manufacturer claimClearlight says its heaters "cancel out both EMF and ELF" and lists the cabin as low EMF/ELF.1 The product page gives no measured EMF or ELF values, test method or independent test report.
  • Manufacturer claimThe product page doesn't document a safety listing.15 The site footer shows CE and Intertek logos with no text, model scope or listing number. The owner's manual text reviewed showed no ETL, UL, CSA or CE listing. No certifier directory entry was checked. Confirm the electrical safety listing with Clearlight before you buy.
  • Manufacturer claimThe owner's manual sets use limits: start with sessions of no more than 30 minutes, a 60-minute session timer and a 175°F maximum temperature. It says to consult a physician first if you're pregnant or possibly pregnant, use medications, or have obesity or a history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems or diabetes.5 These are usage precautions, not evidence of a health benefit. The manual also warns that alcohol, drugs or medications before or during a session may lead to unconsciousness. It calls for close supervision of children.
