The verdict

The Super Max is a 35.5-inch, 300-LED panel at 660 and 850 nm. It hangs from an included door mount, so there's no stand to buy. The catches: a one-year warranty with claims shipped back at your cost, and irradiance and EMF figures with no measuring distance.

The trade-off

A one-year warranty with buyer-paid shipping on claims, only two wavelengths, and no measuring distance for irradiance, so the dose delivered at 3 to 12 inches is unknown.

  • Measured wall power draw during a session
  • Recommended session length and frequency
  • General condition requirements for a standard return
  • What it costs to ship the panel back

It hangs over a door from the included door mount, using braided steel cables, threaded posts and a height-adjusting pulley. The setup text says it can also stand on a solid surface. BON CHARGE's comparison table lists 'Door Mount' as the stand option for this model, and the product page lists no floor stand. It plugs in with the supplied power cord (AC 85–265 V). No dedicated circuit is described.

Warranty1-year manufacturer's warranty

1-year manufacturer's warranty. The product-page FAQ says it runs from the date of purchase, but the store's refund policy says one year from delivery. To claim under the policy, you email BON CHARGE and return the product at your own cost within the warranty period. BON CHARGE then repairs, replaces or refunds at its option, and it pays shipping back on repaired or replaced items. Products used contrary to instructions, abused, modified, damaged or fitted with substitute parts aren't covered.

ReturnsYou can return items within 30 days of receipt for an exchange, refund or store credit…

You can return items within 30 days of receipt for an exchange, refund or store credit, and you pay return shipping. The refund policy names no restocking fee. Items from bundles, promotions or free gifts must come back unused and in original condition. Report a faulty product within 14 days of delivery. If an item is found faulty, BON CHARGE pays the return shipping. General condition requirements for a standard return weren't confirmed.

More about this assessment

The Super Max is a tall BON CHARGE panel with 300 dual-chip LEDs. It shines 660 nm red and 850 nm near infrared, separately or together. It costs $1,599, and the door mount, steel cables, pulley and goggles come in the box. There are no filters, bulbs or subscription to pay for. BON CHARGE puts irradiance above 162 mW/cm² but doesn't say at what distance it was measured. The warranty is one year, and you pay to ship the 31 lb panel back for a claim.

Strengths on paper

  • The $1,599 price includes the door mount, steel cables, height-adjusting pulley and goggles
  • Dimensions, 31 lb weight, 1,500 W power and AC 85–265 V input are all published
  • Built-in timer with red-only, near-infrared-only and combined modes

Limitations

  • One-year warranty, and you pay to ship the panel back for a claim
  • Change-of-mind returns only within 30 days of receipt, and you pay return shipping
  • No measuring distance for the irradiance and EMF figures
  • Only two wavelengths, 660 nm and 850 nm
  • Conflicting session times: 5 to 30 minutes on the product page, up to 20 minutes in the product description

What it costs to own.

PLAN YOUR OWNERSHIP COSTS

What will it cost to own?

Change the assumptions to fit your use. Leave an unknown cost blank. Add water, subscriptions, cleaning, shipping and taxes if they apply. Use average operating power, not the maximum rating.

3-year known subtotal

$1,599.00

Incomplete: energy use. This is not the full ownership cost.

Energy component: Unknown

Purchase + installation + years × (annual consumables + annual other) + watts/1000 × hours/day × 365 × years × $/kWh. Annualized allowances, not an exact replacement schedule. Excludes taxes, shipping, finance and resale unless entered.
Replacement parts & cost assumptions

No scheduled consumable is listed. That does not mean zero maintenance or repair costs.

  • Installation is $0 because the door mount, cables and pulley are included and the page describes no professional installation. The product page lists only the door mount as a stand option. If you want a floor stand, you'd need to find one separately. No stand price was recorded.
  • No filters, bulbs, refills or subscription appear on the product page, so annual consumables and other annual costs are $0. That doesn't mean zero cost for electricity, shipping, returns or repairs. You pay to ship the panel back for warranty claims and change-of-mind returns.
  • Watts uses the 1,500 W 'Power' figure from BON CHARGE's spec table. The page doesn't say whether that's measured wall draw. Since 300 LEDs at 5 W each also comes to 1,500 W, it may be a nominal LED rating.
  • BON CHARGE doesn't say how many sessions a day or week to use, so the energy cost is unknown. The product page gives a 5 to 30 minute timer, and the product description says sessions of up to 20 minutes.

Evidence & sources.

Does red light therapy work? Our evidence review grades the research as Mixed. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimModel, price, specs, included hardware, warranty and return terms all come from BON CHARGE.13 None of it was independently measured.
  • Manufacturer claimBON CHARGE calls the Super Max an 'FDA Class II registered device' and says all its red light devices are registered with the FDA. It lists CE, FCC, SAA, FDA and ARTG under certification.1 The page gives no 510(k) number, FDA listing number or product code. An FDA registration, listing or clearance for this model wasn't confirmed in an FDA database. Registration and listing aren't the same as FDA clearance or approval. The page also carries a disclaimer that the FDA hasn't evaluated its statements.
