InstallationNone needed to stand it on the floor. It plugs into a 120 V outlet. A wall-mount kit comes in the box, and the manual says to drive the hanger screws into studs. On a wall it needs 2 ft of space below the ceiling and 8 in on each side. On the floor it needs 2 ft clear at the air outlet and 8 in at the intakes on each side.No installation. It has a 360° intake and a top air outlet, and Blueair says you can place it anywhere. Wi-Fi and the Blueair app add schedules, an on/off timer and filter tracking. The product page gives no wall clearance.
MaterialsSix stages: a washable pre-filter, a medium filter, a BioGS HEPA filter, one customized filter, an activated carbon filter and a negative ion generator. You pick the customized filter: Germ Defense, Toxin Absorber, Pet Allergy or Odor Remover. Rabbit Air says the HEPA media is treated to keep bacteria and mold from growing on the filter itself. The ion generator can be switched off.A washable fabric pre-filter in four colors (Sand, Stockholm Fog, Moss, Limestone) covers the main filter. The standard Particle + Carbon filter pairs a particle layer with activated carbon that Blueair says traps light household odors. Blueair calls the system HEPASilent and says it combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration. SmokeBlock and AllergenBlock filters fit in place of the standard one.

  • Power draw and noise at each of the five speeds, and standby power
  • Average power on auto, so the yearly electricity cost
  • What warranty cover applies if you don't register
  • Whether it's listed in AHAM's Verifide directory, which couldn't be read
  • Whether CARB has certified it; the part of CARB's list that loaded showed only a different Blueair model
  • Power draw on low and which speed the 32 W figure refers to
  • Noise at speeds 2 and 3
