Choose ifYou wear a whole ring size from 6 to 13, want sleep staging and readiness scores without a wrist device, and will keep paying for membership. You want overnight sleep, HRV and temperature trends from a ring for under $200, with nothing more to pay each year.Anyone in a whole ring size from 5 to 14 who wants long battery life and would rather pay $479 once than pay a yearly membership.
Main trade-offWithout a membership the app shows only three daily scores, and Ring 5 stores three days of data, compared with seven on Ring 4.It has no sleep apnea monitoring or charging case, and RingConn takes returns within 14 days only for a reason such as a defect or the wrong color.Ultrahuman publishes no Ring PRO accuracy figures on the pages checked, some features are paid PowerPlugs, and theft and loss cover needs the $54 two-year UltrahumanX plan.
Key specifications
  • Battery life: Up to 6 to 9 days, depending on ring size and usage. About 80 minutes to charge, depending on battery level
  • Sensors: Red, green and infrared LEDs with 2 photodetectors, plus a temperature sensor and an accelerometer
  • Membership: $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year (US, before tax). New members get the first month included, but adding a ring to an existing account doesn't add another free month
  • Sizes: Whole sizes 6 to 13 only. The Ring 5 sizing kit is required, since Ring 4 sizing differs
  • Water resistance: 100 m (328 ft), IP68. Oura says it's not for diving
  • On-ring data storage: Up to 3 days (up to 7 days on Ring 4)
  • Compatibility: iOS and Android, over Bluetooth 5.0
  • Battery life: Up to 10 days on a full charge, depending on ring size. Magnetic charging on the included wired dock takes about 90 minutes to full. Unlike the Gen 2, it comes with a dock, not a charging case
  • Sensors and metrics: The page doesn't list sensor types. The FAQ says the ring continuously monitors heart rate, SpO2, body temperature, sleep, steps and exercise calories. Its comparison table shows 24/7 HRV and skin temperature too. The page also covers sleep stages, workouts, a Stress Score and cycle predictions. The FAQ says it doesn't include sleep apnea monitoring
  • Subscription: None. The page's comparison table lists the Gen 2 Air subscription fee as 'Free'
  • FDA clearance: None claimed. The product page makes no FDA claim and doesn't say whether the ring is a medical device
  • Sizes and weight: Sizes 6 to 14, plus 'Don't know my size' with a free sizing kit. 6.8 mm wide, 2 mm thick, 2.5 to 4 g. RingConn says Gen 2 and Gen 2 Air share the same sizes and sizing kit
  • Water resistance and operating range: IP68, to 100 m (328 ft). Working temperature 32°F to 104°F (0°C to 40°C)
  • Data and compatibility: Stores 5 to 7 days of data offline. The ring uses Bluetooth 5.0. It works with iOS 17.0 or later and Android 10.0 or later, on phones with Bluetooth 4.0 or above. The FAQ says data transmission, storage and analysis are encrypted and processed on AWS servers in the UK
  • US import status: Not barred. An August 2025 US International Trade Commission (ITC) order barred imports of RingConn rings that infringe an Oura patent. RingConn then settled with Oura and licensed the patent, so in December 2025 the ITC removed RingConn from the order
  • Battery life: Up to 15 days (about 12 days in Turbo Mode, 15+ days in Chill Mode). Up to 45 days between wall charges with the PRO Charging Case. About 2.5 hours for a full charge.
  • Sensors: Temperature sensor, redesigned PPG sensor and 6-axis IMU. Dual-core processor with on-chip machine learning.
  • Subscription: No recurring subscription fees for accessing your data. Optional PowerPlugs cost extra. Cardio Adaptability, for example, is $24 for 1 year or $38 for 2 years. Cycle & Ovulation Pro is $39 for 1 year or $69 for 2 years.
  • Data storage: Up to 250 days of data on internal and external flash, per Ultrahuman's comparison page. Up to 1 year of ring data backed up to the PRO Charging Case.
  • Water resistance: 100 m (328 ft)
  • Sizes: 5 to 14, no half sizes. Ultrahuman says its sizes may differ slightly from standard US ring sizes.

InstallationNo installation. Choose your size with the Ring 5 sizing kit, wearing it for at least 24 hours first. Oura says the index finger gives the best accuracy. Then pair the ring with the Oura App on iOS or Android. No installation. If you don't know your size, choose the free sizing kit ('Don't know my size') when you order. RingConn says it sends the kit before the ring ships, and that it arrives in 3 to 8 days, depending on location. It suggests wearing the sizing ring for at least 24 hours, including overnight, then submitting your size under 'My Orders'. If you're between sizes, it recommends the smaller one or sending RingConn photos and videos. The ring works with iOS 17.0 or later and Android 10.0 or later. Each account pairs with one ring at a time. In the box are the ring, a charging dock, a Type-C cable, and an instruction manual and quick start guide. No installation. It pairs over Bluetooth (BLE 5.3) with the Ultrahuman app, which is on the App Store and Google Play. In the box are the ring, the Ring PRO Charger and a 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable. Ring PRO charges only on the PRO Charger or PRO Charging Case, not on a Ring AIR charger. Before you order, Ultrahuman offers a free sizing kit with plastic sizers in sizes 5 to 14.
MaterialsThe inner and outer surfaces are titanium, and the inside has no seams. Oura says every finish has a super-hard PVD coating for scratch resistance. This review covers the Silver finish.Titanium steel with a PVD coating and medical-grade epoxy resin. The FAQ contrasts this with the titanium used for the Gen 2.The ring is titanium with a PVD coating, plus epoxy and polycarbonate. Ultrahuman says the inner surface is hypoallergenic plastic and titanium. The charging case is aluminum, stainless steel and plastic.
WarrantyA 1-year protection plan comes with the ring. The Silver product page offers upgrades to 2 years for $45 or 3 years for $60. The product page doesn't say what the plan covers, such as battery wear, scratches or loss. Oura's return FAQ says warranty replacements can't be returned or refunded.RingConn's Return & Refund Policy gives one year from delivery outside the EEA, which includes the US, and two years in EEA countries. It will repair, replace or refund if a defect in its workmanship causes the damage. Claims go to RingConn with proof of purchase. The warranty excludes improper or negligent use, maintenance contrary to instructions, normal wear and tear and accidental damage. The policy calls rechargeable batteries consumables with a limited lifespan and leaves battery replacement out of the standard warranty. The warranty transfers to later owners. The Gen 2 Air page itself carries no warranty text.A 12-month limited warranty runs from delivery and covers defects in materials and workmanship. It's valid only in the country of purchase. The Terms of Sale, which don't name Ring PRO, exclude consumable parts such as batteries or protective coatings unless a defect caused the failure. They also exclude accidents, misuse and normal wear and tear. Cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents isn't covered unless a defect caused it. Upgrading through trade-in resets the warranty. Optional UltrahumanX coverage costs $36 for 1 year, with accidental damage protection and priority care. The $54 plan for 2 years adds theft and loss protection and what Ultrahuman calls weight loss insurance.
ReturnsOura's general Return & Exchange FAQs let you return an order within 30 days of receiving it. Items must be fully functional and undamaged. A ring set has to come back with the ring, charger and USB-C cable. Each item can be returned or exchanged once, and ring exchanges are only for a different size of the same ring. Refunds go to the original payment method, but original shipping, handling and customs fees aren't refunded. Rings bought from other retailers go back through that retailer. Oura says to cancel the membership in the app or Membership Hub when you return a ring, so the charges don't continue.Only rings bought directly from RingConn.com qualify. You have to request a return within 14 calendar days of delivery, and you need a valid reason. The policy lists a defect or damage on delivery, a color that doesn't match your order, or a product that differs significantly from its description. The ring must be in its original condition, unopened and unused. Once a return is approved, you have 14 days to send it back. You pay return shipping, and shipping, handling and tax aren't refunded. The exception is a defect, damage or non-conformity you reported with photos in advance. No restocking fee is stated, but RingConn may deduct for damage, wear or missing parts. Refunds go to the original payment method within 30 calendar days of RingConn receiving the ring or proof of return, whichever comes first. Sizing kits can't be returned, and canceling after the kit ships costs $10. For a different size or color, the policy recommends returning the ring and placing a new order. If you're not completely satisfied, you can return it within 30 days of delivery. Send it back in the original packaging with all original accessories, including the charger. The Ring PRO FAQ and the Smart Rings Terms of Sale both say return shipping is free. No restocking fee is stated. The Terms of Sale list these return terms under the Ring AIR heading, and the FAQ applies them to Ring PRO.
