Choose ifYou want a small, dimmable panel for your face or a joint that sits on a table, with a three-year warranty. You want a full-length 660 and 850 nm panel, on sale for several hundred dollars less than a Joovv Solo 3.0 or BON CHARGE Super Max, and you can hang it with the included kit and wait for delivery.
Main trade-offIt covers only small areas, and Mito doesn't publish output at the 12 to 18 inches it recommends.Power draw and the FDA badge are unclear for this model, the backorder notice leaves delivery timing uncertain, and returns need RMA pre-approval and cost a $15 restocking fee plus return shipping.
Key specifications
  • LEDs: 60 lenses / 120 chips. Each lens holds two chips on separate circuits, so the panel can run 100% red, 100% near infrared or 50% each
  • Peak wavelengths: 590, 630, 660, 810, 830 and 850 nm. Mito gives the split for the whole MitoPRO X series as 6%, 22%, 22%, 17%, 17% and 17%
  • Irradiance at 6 in: >130 mW/cm² by consumer solar meter and >56 mW/cm² by professional spectroradiometer. Mito reports a LightLab test (report LLIA002765-005, Sep 12, 2025) of 38.2 mW/cm² average and 55.9 mW/cm² peak over the area below the LEDs
  • Power: 125 W power consumption on the product page. The LightLab test measured 111.8 W wall draw and 36.4 W total radiant power
  • Coverage and distance: Face, neck or joints. Mito recommends 10-minute sessions at 12 to 18 in. The manual says 4 to 6 sessions a week, and the product page says 4 to 7
  • Controls and modes: Touchscreen with three modes: all wavelengths, red and amber only, or near infrared only. The manual gives dimming from 1% to 100%, plus near-infrared pulsing. The Bluetooth app adds an NIR Extend mode of up to 20 minutes. Mito's App Store listing shows the app as free with no in-app purchases
  • In the box: Panel, tabletop stand, power cable, user manual, opaque protective goggles and Mito Red IR3 glasses
  • LEDs: 231
  • Wavelengths: 660 nm red and 850 nm near infrared, 1:1 ratio
  • Irradiance: 161 mW/cm² at 6 in, per Kala. The page doesn't say who measured it or with what instrument
  • Use distance: Kala recommends about 6 to 18 in from the panel
  • Power: The only wattage figure is 'Light output: 385W (231*5W)', but 231 x 5 W would be 1,155 W. No power-consumption figure is given. Input is 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz
  • Timer and modes: 5, 10, 15 or 20 minute sessions, seven frequency settings and a pulse recovery mode. Digital timer and remote control, though the page says the panel controller doesn't include a battery
  • EMF: '0.00 at 4 inches', with no unit given
  • In the box: Panel, user manual, hanging kit, protective goggles, charger and wall adapter, power cord
Exact variantMitoPRO 300X targeted 9.5 by 14.5 inch panel, with tabletop stand'No Stand' setup option with hanging kit, US store
Dimensions9.5 x 14.5 in (width x height, panel only) and 7 lb, per the product page. Mito says to add about 6 to 8 in to the height if you use its floor or universal stand. It doesn't state panel depth.Listed as 'L220*W96*H900mm', about 8.7 x 3.8 x 35.4 in. The 96 mm figure is labeled width but reads as the panel's depth. The spec list gives the weight as 30 lb, but Kala's online store lists 9,952 g (about 21.9 lb) for every setup option.
InstallationThe 300X comes with a tabletop stand. The manual says to pull it out and set the panel on a level surface. The manual's door-hanging steps cover only the 750X and 1500X. The $139 floor stand is listed for those two panels only. The $349 universal stand fits every MitoPRO X size. The panel plugs in with the supplied 16 AWG power cord. Mito doesn't state input voltage or amperage, and it doesn't call for a dedicated circuit. The 'No Stand' setup includes a hanging kit. The page doesn't say what it hangs from (door, wall or ceiling) or whether you'll need to drill. Roller Boot, Vertical Stand and Horizontal Stand are separate setup options at higher prices. WarrantyThree years on MitoPRO X panels, starting on the delivery date. It covers only the original purchaser who bought from mitoredlight.com or an authorized reseller, and it can't be transferred. It covers defects in material or workmanship under normal use, but not negligence, improper maintenance, modification, theft or loss. Mito doesn't repair units or supply parts. It replaces an eligible panel with a brand-new one. You send back the whole product with all its parts. Mito pays the postage for the first 180 days. After that, you pay to ship it in. Claims start by email to info@mitoredlight.com.2 years, per the spec list on the product page. Kala's return policy says that outside the 30-day return window, its warranty program 'may cover repairs or replacements'. Final-sale items remain under warranty service, and you make a claim by emailing Kala with proof of purchase. Coverage details and exclusions weren't found. The shipping page whose web address mentions warranty gives no warranty terms.
Returns60 days from delivery, postmarked within the window, with no restocking fee. The panel must come back in its original packaging, and damaged or unsellable returns are refused. Return shipping is on you unless you bought Free Returns & Package Protection at checkout. The policy page doesn't price that option, and its fee isn't refunded. Original shipping fees aren't refunded either. Refunds go to your original payment method, and Mito says to allow up to 5 business days. You can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund if you bought it directly from kalaredlight.com. It has to be in like-new condition, with all original accessories, manuals and packaging. You need pre-approval through Kala's RMA process first. Then you have 14 days from receiving the RMA to send it back by a trackable method. A $15 restocking fee applies to all returns, and you pay return shipping. Duties and taxes aren't refunded. Kala lists its Vertical and Horizontal Stands, and Kala Goggles, as final sale. The two policy pages give different refund timings after inspection: 5 to 10 business days, or typically within 14 business days.
