Exact variant3-person Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna2-person outdoor full-spectrum infrared cabin, Canadian red cedar interior, aluminum exterior, dedicated 240V / 20A circuit, without the optional red-light add-on
DimensionsHigherDOSE now lists the 3-person exterior as 61 W × 41 D × 76.5 H in. Its interior is listed as 57 in (the dimension is unlabeled), 36.25 in deep and 70 in high, at about 580 lb. The maker's current exterior dimensions differ from the 71 W × 48 D × 77 H in reported by Garage Gym Reviews, which may describe another version. Confirm the exact unit and installation clearances before measuring your room.Exterior: 57 W × 51.5 D × 82.7 H in. Interior: 53.4 W × 47.2 D × 71.7 H in. The door opening is 24 in. The cabin weighs 970 lb assembled. It ships in one 65 × 32 × 89 in crate with a gross weight of 975 lb.
InstallationIt needs a dedicated 240 V, 15 A circuit. HigherDOSE rates it at 2,930 W with a NEMA 6-15P plug, so you'll need a matching NEMA 6-15 outlet. An upgraded cord is available on request. It ships separately, and you fit it yourself. The carrier leaves the sauna on a pallet, as far as it can get along the road or driveway. Delivery to a room of your choice costs extra, by quote from HigherDOSE's sauna sales team. Installation isn't included. No assembly time or manual is published, though the page embeds a "How to build" video. Garage Gym Reviews says its installers took about 7 hours. It needs a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit with GFCI protection. It also needs a weatherproof NEMA L6-20R twist-lock receptacle within 6 ft of the cord exit. Sun Home says a licensed electrician is required. The manual says not to plug it into a standard 120 V household outlet or share the outlet with other appliances. The 8 ft cord exits the roof at the back wall. The pad must be flat, level and draining, extend at least 6 in beyond the footprint and support at least 1,500 lb. Leave 4 to 6 in behind and beside the cabin, 20 to 24 in above the roof, and room for the door to swing fully open. The product page says to install it at least 5 ft from other electrical devices. Placing it within 5 ft of a water source that produces liquid or vapor voids the warranty. The owner's manual offers a free roof security cable kit, requested by email, to anchor the sauna. It doesn't say at what wind speed the kit is needed. The sauna arrives palletized at the curb in one crate. Sun Home says to set aside half a day and two or more people for assembly.
MaterialsHigherDOSE describes the exterior as black mahogany and the interior as basswood. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independently verified species or emissions results. The finish and cabin-specific VOC testing remain unknown; the resource page's fabric test concerns the sauna blanket, not this cabin. The interior is Canadian red cedar. The exterior has what Sun Home calls aerospace-grade aluminum cladding, a stainless steel roof and double-pane black glass. A fitted all-weather cover is included.
WarrantyThe product page promises a limited 5-year residential warranty and a 1-year commercial warranty. HigherDOSE's warranty page has no sauna section, only one-year terms for nine other products. It doesn't publish what the 5 years covers, so heaters, controls, labor, parts shipping and transfer are all unclear. Ask for the written sauna warranty before you order. These terms cover residential purchases in the US on or after March 2, 2026. Cabinetry (benches, floor grates and heater cover frames) and heaters get a limited lifetime warranty. That coverage applies for up to seven years, which the terms give as their expected useful life. The exterior cabin and the controls (control panel and power box) get 3 years each. LED lighting, glass doors and audio get 1 year. For the first 90 days after delivery, warranty service includes replacement parts, labor and shipping. After that, you pay shipping and labor. Only the original purchaser is covered. Weather events, normal weathering, cosmetic damage and water exposure are excluded. Lacking a dedicated outlet, or placing the sauna within 5 ft of a water source, voids the warranty. The included cover is optional, and not using it doesn't by itself void the warranty. Commercial use carries shorter terms.
ReturnsHigherDOSE's return policy gives Full Spectrum Saunas 30 days from delivery, but only if unopened and in the original packaging. Every approved return carries a 30% restocking fee, about $2,700 at the 3-person price. You also pay all return shipping. The 120-day money-back guarantee in the site banner doesn't cover saunas. The policy was last updated May 8, 2025.You can return an unused sauna in its original, unopened packaging within 30 days of delivery. Sun Home deducts a 25% restocking fee plus outbound and inbound shipping, even on free-shipping orders. It doesn't accept uncrated, assembled or used saunas. Every cancellation carries a 3% fee. You can cancel an in-stock order within 24 hours. After that, a 25% restocking fee and possibly roundtrip shipping apply. Refunds are issued within 21 days of Sun Home receiving the return. Inspect the shipment before the delivery driver leaves.

  • What the 5-year warranty covers, including labor and parts shipping, and whether it transfers
  • Whether the cabin carries an ETL, UL or CSA listing, and its file number
