The verdict

Parachute's Percale set is long-staple Egyptian cotton percale made in Portugal, and a Pebble Queen costs $269. It suits you if you like crisp sheets and your mattress is no deeper than 16 inches. The catch is the fine print: no published warranty, $8 mail-in returns and exchanges only for another color.

The trade-off

There's no published warranty, and a wrong size has to go back as a return, which costs $8 by mail.

About this price

List price for the Pebble Queen on Parachute's online store on Oct 13, 2026, before tax. The regular price shown is the same $269, so it isn't a sale price, and the Queen shows as in stock. Pillowcase style (back or side envelope) doesn't change the price. A Pebble Full is $259, and that's the price the shared Full/Queen page lists, so check that your cart shows $269 for a Queen. White King and Cal King sets are $299. When checked, the Pebble swatch on that page opened the duvet cover set, so make sure your cart says sheet set. Standard shipping is free. Faster shipping costs $40 or 15% of the order, whichever is more.

A GOOD FIT FOR

You want crisp cotton percale for a mattress up to 16 inches deep.

  • A Queen mattress, plus any topper, no deeper than 16 inches
  • You want crisp, lightweight cotton percale rather than sateen
  • You want sheets with a named OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate number
  • You live near a Parachute store, where returns are free

THINK TWICE IF

  • Your mattress and topper together are deeper than 16 inches
  • You want written warranty terms before you buy
  • You're unsure of your size, since exchanges are only for another color and mail returns cost $8
  • You're buying them mainly to sleep cooler, since Parachute cites no test for its cooling claim
What still needs checking
  • The top sheet's dimensions
  • The thread count
  • How much the sheets shrink after washing
  • Whether washed or used sheets can be returned
  • Whether OEKO-TEX's registry shows certificate 16.HUS.93300 as valid for these sheets
  • How long these sheets last, since no independent durability test was reviewed

Before you buy

InstallationNothing to install

Nothing to install. Parachute's percale care guide says to wash in cool water, not cold or hot, with half the usual amount of a mild liquid detergent. Tumble dry on low with the dryer half loaded, using dryer balls instead of dryer sheets. Take the sheets out while slightly damp and put them straight on the bed. Skip fabric softener, and if you need bleach, use a non-chlorine one. Avoid ironing, or iron on low heat while the sheets are still damp. The guide suggests washing every 7 to 10 days.

WarrantyParachute doesn't publish a warranty for its sheets, and neither the product page…

Parachute doesn't publish a warranty for its sheets, and neither the product page, the FAQ nor the refund policy mentions one. The FAQ says to report damage or a suspected manufacturer's defect to Customer Experience within 7 days of receiving your order. You'll need the original proof of purchase and photos of the problem.

ReturnsMost items can be returned within 60 days of delivery

Most items can be returned within 60 days of delivery. Returns by mail or at a Happy Returns Bar cost a flat $8. Returns in a Parachute store or for store credit are free. Refunds go to your original payment method and take 10 to 14 business days to process. Shipping fees aren't refunded. Exchanges are only for the same product in another color, so a wrong size goes back as a return. Color exchanges are free by mail or at a Happy Returns Bar, but stores don't do exchanges. Final sale items can't be returned. Neither the policy nor the FAQ says whether washed sheets qualify.

More about this assessment

Parachute's Percale Sheet Set is 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton percale, made in Portugal. A Pebble Queen set costs $269 with free standard shipping, and Parachute says its fitted sheets fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep. Replacing it every three years, in line with Parachute's general advice, works out to $89.67 a year. Parachute calls percale cool to the touch but cites no test. There's no published warranty, and damage or defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Returns are open for 60 days, but mail returns cost $8 and exchanges are only for another color.

Strengths on paper

  • 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton percale, made in Portugal

  • A named OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate, 16.HUS.93300 from Hohenstein HTTI
  • Wide color choice: 13 solids plus stripes and vintage prints
  • Free standard shipping, and free returns in a Parachute store or for store credit
  • Simple care: a cool machine wash and a low tumble dry
  • A 60-day return window

Limitations

  • No published warranty, and damage or defects must be reported within 7 days of delivery
  • Mail-in and Happy Returns Bar returns cost $8
  • Exchanges are only for a different color, not a different size
  • Parachute doesn't publish a thread count or the top sheet's size
  • The cooling claim rests on Parachute's description, not a test
  • The OEKO-TEX certificate couldn't be confirmed in OEKO-TEX's Label Check
  • Parachute's care guide says the cotton can shrink if it isn't dried properly, and gives no shrinkage figure

Every field has a value. This is an estimate, not a quote.

Energy component: $0.00

Purchase + installation + years × (annual consumables + annual other) + watts/1000 × hours/day × 365 × years × $/kWh. Annualized allowances, not an exact replacement schedule. Excludes taxes, shipping, finance and resale unless entered.
Replacement parts & cost assumptions

Recorded recurring parts and refills:

  • Replacement Queen sheet set: $269 every 36 months. Parachute's replacement guide says a set used every day lasts about two years, and luxury cotton like percale can give another year or so. That's general advice, not a tested lifespan for this set. The cost is today's Pebble Queen price.
  • Purchase is the $269 list price for a Pebble Queen set on Oct 13, 2026, before tax. Standard shipping is free.
  • Annual consumables of $89.67 spread one $269 replacement set over three years. That follows Parachute's general advice that daily-use percale lasts about two years plus another year or so.
  • There's no subscription and no power draw, so other yearly costs and energy are $0. Washing and drying costs aren't estimated.
  • A mail-in return costs $8, which isn't counted here.

Evidence & sources.

Do cooling mattress pads, sleep masks and sheets help you sleep? Our evidence review grades the research as Weak. That grade is about the claim, not about this product.

  • Manufacturer claimParachute's product pages name OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate 16.HUS.93300 from Hohenstein HTTI, and its FAQ says all its bedding is OEKO-TEX certified.12467 OEKO-TEX's Label Check is a search form, and no result for this number could be retrieved when checked. The holder, scope and expiry aren't confirmed. OEKO-TEX issues certificates for one year at a time.
  • CertificationOEKO-TEX says a Standard 100 label means every thread, button and accessory was tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances. Bed linens fall under Product Class 2, for direct skin contact.6 The label covers harmful-substance testing. It says nothing about softness, durability or how warm the sheets feel. Not a health claim.
  • Manufacturer claimParachute says the set is "Recommended if you get hot at night" and that percale is "lightweight, breathable and cool to the touch."1 The page cites no study or lab result, and no independent test of these sheets was reviewed.
  • Manufacturer claimParachute's FAQ says its fitted sheets fit mattresses up to 16 inches deep. The size guide lists the Queen fitted sheet at 60 × 80 × 16 in.24 Manufacturer sizing, not an independent measurement. Parachute gives no shrinkage figure, so the fit after washing is unknown.
  • Manufacturer claimParachute's replacement guide says a sheet set used daily lasts about two years, and percale or sateen can give another year or so.8 General guidance across Parachute's cotton sheets, not a durability test of this set.
